Hello every1. Home from my appt.
I hope you have sun where you are. We've got rain, so I guess it's a work inside kind of day.

I hope yours is a good one.

Wow! That will hit Chatham very significantly! The downtown mall has been struggling for years and that will leave literally only Walmart to shop for anything non-grocery.

Used to love Sears, bought a white Shag rug (dating myself) years ago had it for a few month and decided i didn't like it cleaned it up and they took it back no question asked. Hubby (RIP) would only buy their outdoor things (snowblower, roto-tiller) because the extended warranty was so good, they came in once a year and did any maintenace it needed and very affordable. Those days are long gone from any company.

Watching a new comedy show on Channel 4 called 'host of the week' Scarlett Moffat is the host. Quite funny.

You are SO right, @dededi !
My Hubby and I were the same a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, but times sure have changed. The old staff that have hung on until their pensions are rusted out and if anyone woukd venture a complaint about their nonchalant attitudes, who woukd care?

I was watching Bloomberg today as per usual, and the former CEO of Sears Canada said that during his term in that office staff numbers were being reduced among a lot of other changes and all...all those savings were siphoned into the US Sears, but mostly into the pockets of those who rule. Sears Canada was virtually robbed and therefore suffered the consequences, passed onto us. Inferior merchandise, lack of upgrading, the customer service you mentioned...they just didn't care.

I don't think they'll care one way or another if Sears here collapses.

Got an appointment with my new doctor tomorrow. I've forgotten to think of what are my "most important" issues. I'll do it by the time I meet him - better write it down, though. My feet are ok.
@Lynn49 - I absolutely LOVE that quilt pattern!
@walkonby - just one foot in front of the other. Sometimes I say - just one more (fill-in-the-blank) and then I'll go to bed.
@cabmonk - I remember when you first started talking about this upcoming festival and how excited you were - I hope everything settles down and you are able to go and I hope you snag the tickets.
@Newfiescreech - the last picture we saw of your place showed SO MUCH SNOW! Now, summer seems to have arrived!

Have a great sleep everyone - I am going to hit the sack

Thank you, @walkonby, 22hicks, @Natalka, @avoncallingu for confirming my choice for that doggie quilt...each dog face has about 20 tiny pieces to it, so it's going to be a labour of love for DD's friends. I also won't put on that grey background, it looks so depressing!

@cabmonk, I'm relieved to read that your flare-up is settling down and that you'll be okay enough to attend the festivities. Pace yourself this weekend and take time to rest. Wrt those squirt additions to water, there is one I've used, and I think it's Crystal Lite, that doesn't use Stevia, it uses sucralose instead so the calories are low also, but I'm not sure if that also aggravates your situation. Like Natalka mentioned sugars are in everything these days, just eat the perimiter of the grocery store and you should be fine.

And speaking of grocery shopping, our SIL used the new RCSS site to order their groceries for the first time and loved it! He picked our GS up from school, went to pick them up, and voila...they arrived at his truck! I'm thinking of those Moms (and I used to be one of these) with a toddler and a baby, grocery shopping together then having to push that cart through rutted snow to get to her vehicle! How great it would also be for people like me who find it difficult to walk through a grocery store for a longer while!! Gotta love the service for the extra $3!!
I wonder, however, if it's going to be a whole lot easire for people to "click!" things into their on-line carts and purchase more than they needed to buy!! Bet the stores are counting on that.

Well...have a lovely day everyone.. @Newfiescreech, living on the ocean like you do...that would be heaven on earth for me!! That photo is absolutely, positively gorgeous!!

    Toodles!!
Thanks Lynn for your message.. it is heaven on earth for sure .. now winter can be pain in u know what .. but I guess we can't have it all .. we sure would like too .. but sometimes we have sacrifice something.. see boats out there on ocean .. so awesome.. some nights I'm out sitting in yard just looking at ocean and listening to sea.. its soo peaceful and relaxing .
