Shih-Tzu-Gate Day 3 on my street. People moved in to a duplex across the street. The people on the bottom floor have the yard access and two large and not particularly friendly dogs. Guy moves in up stairs and expects use of yard (seemingly not in his contract according to the loud arguing) but he goes through the yard to get to the shared basement laundry/storage so just thought he could use it.
So instead of being grown ups or living with the contract he signed, his little dog is running loose up and down the street (2 schools very close by so busy at this time of morning) to make a point that he doesn't have somewhere for it to pee. Because, you know, taking your dog for a walk in the nice waterfront park 5 mins away?? Or even the park by the community centre even closer??

Good morning, everyone.
Physio this afternoon, not sure what they'll tell me, but DH wants to take me out to a new restaurant in that end of town that his buddies have given great reviews about, afterwards, so it won't be a totally lost cause.
My thoughts this morning are with you, @avoncallingu , and your dear Husband.....God give you strength and peace as you continue along this path together.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning every1.
I've been sprung. I want to thank you all for your best wishes, and you prayers certainly helped. He was listening. It's nice to be home, but I'm so very tired, and it'll be a month of recovery, at least.
I hope you all have a good day.

@Natalka - I hope that cold doesn't take a turn for the worse. Take care.
@avoncallinu - I'm praying for you and your DH.
@walkonby - you're such a love; thank you for that wonderful visit.
@Lynn49 - I hope physio goes well; enjoy that lunch. I also want to thank you for all your support.
@cabmonk - I really hope they find enough hours for you; good luck
@flemeth - welcome aboard; this is a wonderful group
@FallenPixels - that's awful, and doesn't bode for a friendly neighbourhood; I sure hope it improves.
@danger_dan - omg, I feel so badly for you; you've worked so hard to be back stabbed like that. I sure hope it improves. Brining in the advisor was a great idea, and it sounds like they're going to help improve the situation.
Frankly, I've been through something similar, and the only positive in getting older, is not having the stress and sleepless nights a demanding job brings with it. Good luck.

@danger_dan, like sweet Hicks, said, we've probably all been through similar situations where some idiot thinks something is a great idea and others fall into lock-step behind them without thinking of the consequences.
Want to hear what I was once asked to do? I was Northern Ontario Director for a charitable group (who shall remain nameless in spite of the fact I don't trust them now). Just after my Husband had his heart attack, of course I wanted to be home with him and they were very nice about it. However, 2 weeks later, I was told to go to one of our cities here up north, FIRE all the volunteers, and spend a week (!) there recruiting new volunteers and training them!!!
Really?? FIRE volunteers, find new ones and train them in a week?
Needless to say, I made my famous, "I don't think I can give you what you need here..." phone call....it was wonderful to be free of them!!
That line, iirc, I adopted from the movie: Father of the Bride..the recent one with Steve Martin...(?)
So see? Madness all around!!
Good luck with yours!...Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Jan 25th, 2017 at 08:33 PM.

Mine prints the French on white labels and sticks them on to get around it.
He has still got some stuff confiscated on import. Penguin biscuits had too much calcium to be a snack and was classified as a health supplement which you need a special permit for

Mary Tyler Moore is in hospital in grave condition. The family has been asked to come in and say their goodbyes.
(from my favourite comedy of all times)

She was an extremely talented actress, I just loved the Mary Tyler Moore and Dick Van Dyke shows. She gave our generation a lot of joy, may she rest in peace.
