First of the day.
Good morning Friends!

Took a sick day yesterday...just slept...felt awful, still not feeling back to normal but had to come into the office. might take a half tomorrow, just to get back to 100%.

Rain made the commute in this morning 'fun'...yeah let's call it that.

tee hee I understand that sarcasm @danger_dan ....the rainy commute was " fun ".
I lucked out in that I don't have to chauffeur DD in until this afternoon, by then maybe the traffic will be calmer and less congested, maybe even no rain?? One can hope.

Oh darn it all..... I missed saying this yesterday......" bon voyage @GoJays !! Have a relaxing time away from the grind of work.

Nothing else happening 'round here atm, family are all sleeping......so I guess have a Happy Hump Day everyone!!

Good mornin'!!

No rain here, sunny and warm, the boys are out golfing and I'm going to head to Michaels soon to pick out a frame for my painting. Maybe it'll look better when it's framed.

Other than that, nothing new, off to camp for the Canada Day weekend so lots of organizing and packing to do..

Today is our 48th Anniversary!!

We'll be having dinner at Lot88 this evening, the kids have recommended the deep fried wontons stuffed with mashed potatoes (who on earth could resist those?!), and cooking the steaks at our table. I'm game, not sure DH wants to work that hard, he may just order his steak already done. hahaha...

Lots to do today, have a wonderful day, everyone!!!

Thank you, @Natalka , and @dededi .....this is the same sunny day as the day we were married!

I found a nice frame and mat for it at Michaels so my DH will put it together after I put the final touches on the painting.

I hope everyone else is having a lovely day, too!

It wasn't bad enough that when Scalia passed away Mitch McConnell blocked Obama's pick of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, but then Trump places a young Gorsuch in that spot, so now this new appointment by Trump ( whoever it ends up being )
will tip the " scales of injustice " in the favour of the GOP.

Look out women....... Roe vs Wade will now be revisited.

Dang it all I have tried 5 times to post a pic in this post but none of them will stick!

It just keeps getting worse, @walkonby. As it is now, the supreme court just gave trump the go-ahead to ban immigrants from 6 mostly muslim countries.
Their isolationist policies, I hope, somehow bites them where it hurts most...although that may only mean their wallets. Downright scary.
I wonder what they're going to do with that judge's ruling today instucting the government to re-unite those poor children with their parents in a few weeks. Of course they'll ignore it, but what would the repercussions be?

For me it was pretty good today. Ddp yoga emailed me because they want to feature me on their website. they asked for my starting pic and current pic. starting weight and current weight etc. also for my story in under 500 words why I started ddp yoga, my goals etc. I'll see at some point if I wind up on the website.

Lynn, Happy, Happy Anniversary! It seems like every day with your dear husband is a "Happy Anniversary" of the day before. You two are such a lovely couple!

Staying in Tesla' s room - Oh my gosh! That is so cool! A friend of mine and her husband just picked up their new Tesla that they ordered a couple of years ago.

The first year we were married, my DH and I went to Chicago for the July 4th weekend. When we were shown to our room, we asked for one with a better view. What we got was one with a view of a different building. Ha! We were in downtown Chicago- what did we expect!

Cabbie- how exciting that you might be featured on that website! It's a testament to how hard you have been working!

I went with my brotherR to his Dr. appointments this morning. Picked up my new pull- out sofa mattress and chair cushions. Then a bit of a rest. Then over to the church to help sort things for our garage sale this weekend. I took Tootie in her stroller. She rarely gets to be around other people so it's good.

I also found some nice sheets for the new bed. And a VERY CUTE ballerina skirt to send off to my granddaughter.

I also found a cute gag gift for a certain person's upcoming birthday.

My brother's birthday is next week and we are celebrating this weekend. It's supposed to be freaking hot this weekend- dangerously so. The house where the garage sale will be held is not air conditioned as we don't use it in the summer for Sunday School. I may just wear a sack of ice cubes around my neck.

Well, Dan, have you got a nice doggie pool for Cooper to cool off this weekend?

Nat, glad you are getting such good care!

My new neighbour who is a new Canadian is pregnant, I just found out last weekend when she had to be rushed to the hospital and has been told to stay off her feet for 2 months. She had not been told about CCAC (now called LHIN) being able to provide home assistance for her . So I gave her and her husband the information and hopefully she'll get some help that she'll need.
