Avon flies in today with Tootie!!! Woohoo!!! We'll be off to the airport to pick her up at 5pm!

It's almost balmy here, too, @Natalka ...-9!! It's a nice break from those frigid temperatures we've had, although they sure kept the snowfall away from us!!

@Lynn49 have a good visit with Avon. By the way it was a bit warmer today (-20 lol) so I walked to the bus terminal at 6.30am to go to Walmart. I get to the bus terminal to find that their change machine wasn't working so I had to walk back home. My aunt then gave me a ride instead at noon and took me to Mcdonalds. I hope everyone is having a good day.

Hey, yah, Cabbie...I should have put "McDonalds" on my menu one day during Avon's visit!! Sheesh!!!
The only time we go there is when we're on the road south for some reason, there are stops along the 69 and 400, and we used to take our Grandson there after we went to Science North before we switched to Wendy's and he never asked to go back to McD's after that. Enjoy your day and stay inside!
Our DD just called and I mentioned that at least it was a nicer day at -12 and she said, "Did you look at the windchill?" Ugh. Apparently it felt like -25.
Hey! I just checked: -8, feels like -15! Wouldn't be surprised to see a few guys in shorts out there! hahaha!!!

Yeah I don't go to Mcdonalds too often. My aunt said we'll go there because it was right at Walmart. I'm happy with the -20 which was with windchill because most of the last 1 1/2 weeks with wind has been -35 to -45. have a good night over there.

Good earlier evening everyone and happy new year to each of you!!! Did not post much because I was not feeling very well with the hollidays.Glad they are over.We have a heat problem in the appt the thermostats dont work well at 50% so we will have an electician who will come check this issue but we dont know when because the office is closed until january 7.......it is freezing cold in here....not normal....another badluck is my father worked 5 days this week so we did not spend new year togheter....that made me sad and sick.....And his car dont start we dont know the problem if it is the cold or the alternator but that ruine this month budget.....At least for this week with no car the freezer is full but it is not very practice.....Wishing everyone a great evening and night.Supper was tacos .quick and easy since we had frozen ground beef at least(last package)....

Boy it was hard getting up for that commute this morning.

...and accidents on the 401 to boot...
The one on the EB 401 was SCARY looking...Police were still looking through the wreckage with their flashlights when I drove by earlier...small little sedan wrapped itself around the upright for the highway signs, roof side first, hood of the car touching the trunk hatch...yeah, that bad.
Great way to start of the commute for the year.

Good morning folks! Here I am, safe and sound and cosy in bed at LYNN'S house. My travel day was good. Tootie travelled well. Lynn prepared a lovely, yummy dinner and we chilled out for the evening.

This morning, Lynn has arranged for a hairdressing appointment for me. What a sweetheart! New Year-New ME!

So, have to get up, get dressed and begin this wonderful vacation day!

Hoping tests were ok for hicks yesterday. Sending hugs to all!
