So far I have watched New Years eve celebrations from:

Australia, Tokyo, South Korea and Hong Kong.
Coming up is Jakarta, Indonesia and later on the UK..

The Australia one was a full show with singers etc. The rest I only managed to see the countdown and fireworks.

Just got home from the kids' house...we celebrated together (did I really stay up this late?!!)...

Happy new year @Lynn49 , I hear ya on staying up late. Everyone I texted happy new year to never texted back. I think my aunt probably went to bed before midnight. In past years my aunt, uncle and a couple cousin's would text me even before I could get my phone out lol. Now everyone seems to be in bed or drunk not sure ha.

Good morning folks! And Happy New Year! My puppie woke me up snuffling about something and now she's sleeping again. I think I heard the New Year ring in as I entered dreamland. Lynn, I have a whole day to pack. Remember, I can't find my bluejeans- that cuts my wardrobe in half. I spilled my tea all down the pew in church yesterday so I have to was me tea-bum other pants. I'm fine, my dear. Got to get more zzz's, though. See you (And the Rose Parade) later.

@avoncallingu I hope you have a good 2018 and a good holiday Monday. I took a nap for a couple hours yesterday afternoon. Then I managed to stay up until just after 3am so I could wish my friend in Vancouver a happy new year.

Yes, it's Rose Bowl Parade day!! 11am. On my bucket list, too!
I'm trying to find a channel that usually has all the pre-parade prep stuff on, but maybe it's still too early.
We had a great time at the kids' house, hugging the new year in, shooting pool, but feeling fine this morning, prepping for your visit tomorrow. 😁
