Almost four and I wish it were bedtime!
I spent the last while online shopping for ''sensible" footwear with my physiotherapist. Nothing fashion-worthy, but that does not matter. I pick a pair in red, she says no roll bar or something like that. I pick a cool pair with a zip alongside the laces, kinda looked like skater shoes, she said nope. Sigh!
In the end she chose several pairs and will go shopping for me at this specialty shoe store. In the past, that store has let the therapist take several pairs of shoes for a patient to try, return what doesn't fit or isn't appropriate- then just invoice the patient for the kept pair.
I do not mind paying the crazy prices, as long as they help. The PT thinks if I get a shoe that provides enough for me, I may not need orthotics at this point.
I had an x-ray after lunch, so will wait to see if that shows anything.
I am going to put my feet up for a while. I am tuckered out.
Hope you all have a nice evening!

I am settling down for a quiet evening of TV. I tell you, I don't think that I can eat this much every day!
Tonight was a choice of chicken cachiatorri (please excuse the spelling,)or salmon with caper sauce, (I had mine without sauce.
The appetizers were: salad, shrimp cocktail with little scallops and/or potato-bacon soup.
Dessert-chocolate mousse with whipped cream or apple pie with ice cream.
I had soup, shrimp cocktail, salmon and apple pie with ice cream. I'm stuffed again!
Tomorrow we are off to Hamilton and then back by mid-afternoon. Now Flamboro Downs casino is on the way.....hmmm.
Then Thursday-finish with the old apartment. I need the added calories, I think.
Take care, my friends!
This one's for you, @Lynn49 . Apparently Agnes, my next neighbour has a mouse under her sink. Seven floors up! That's one dedicated mousie!
@Natalka - you will have to tell me what kind of shoes you settle on. I always wrestle with getting shoes that don't hurt but provide the right amount of support. There was a shoe salesperson here today offering "easy on" shoes. I didn't have time to look but I don't think that is exactly what I need.
Beautiful fading sunset outside.
Will chat later!
BFN!
I love my old lounger! My miniature poodle Jessie used to sit on the top left arm and our schnauzer Max would settle in between my calves all while I watched TV and played on the computer. "Cozy!😁"
Take care!

@avoncallingu , I hope Agnes is feeding and taking care of that wee mouse, but I feel there'll be blood. I just loved our little white mouse when my DH had to do a 'paper' on training it....I really should have insisted we keep it, but then again, they have such short life-spans it would have broken my heart when it passed....
I can't wait until ALL your moving is done! Can you even begin to imagine having dinner there then going up to your apartment to spend a restful evening with Tootie and your tv? Or book? And wine? Or....um...rum & coke?
Sweet dreams in your new digs, Avon!!

Thanks, @Lynn49 ! I'm doing a combo of your suggestions. Minus Tootie but I am really good with that right now because of my energy levels and unpredictable timelines.
I'm watching TV and unwrapping a bit during commercials. I knew I would really need my cupcake pans so I HAD to open that box. But amazing, the glass from the curio cabinet was in there too. So I can get that organized too.
I have found the politics of the joint already -or , rather, it has found me. I just try to stay in between the lines.
I started this message long ago. I hope I didn't get "timed out."
Goodnight!

Good morning, everyone! Sleepyheads still snoozing..!
@avoncallingu , I forgot Tootie wasn't with you. That was a good idea for both of you with your wild schedule. Lol...."the politics of the joint", that's the nicest way to put it. Yep, walk that fine line, that middle-ground until you find the gang you'll be most comfortable with. Heavens, better you than me there! I'm not sociable or nice, hahaha. Be well, Kiddo!
@Dang er-Dan, March can't go by fast enough, omgoodness it's going to take until July for this snow to melt, and the potential for flooding is enormous, unfortunately. And a wet spring is predicted also. It'll be a mess out there, but I WILL wade through it all with Jenny to get to our swing back there!
Dental cleaning day, then perhaps a visit to a store or two...I don't have a box here for our DDs b'day gift, so I'll have to look for one and it may be one of those nice boxes at Michael's to store things. I hope I don't have to resort to a bag!!
Toodles, everyone! Have a great day!!

well, well, well there is an early morning gathering and I missed it! o.k. well, I was kind of typing other things at the time.
So....was anyone laughing at the Celebrities who were arrested yesterday for bribery!? What a fantastic bust that was!
Imagine rich people " paying " to get their loser kids into prestigious schools? I feel worse for the ones arrested that TOOK the bribe money because they may not wiggle their way out of jail time, whereas celebrities always find a way to dodge the slammer!
I'll probably follow this story just because it is a refreshing change from Trump 24/7 ! ha ha
Happy unpacking @avoncallingu ! Your full meal last night sounded so yummy!
Make sure you get your reward red lollipop @Lynn49 after the dentist trip! ha ha @danger_dan hang tight.....Thursday is very near, then the best day FRIDAY!!
Good luck on selecting a workable pair of shoes @Natalka , the cost is unavoidable, orthotics are crazily priced as well.
It's a nothing day for me, my previously scheduled Dr. appt. that was supposed to be today got changed to Thursday...oh well. Stuff happens I guess.Last edited by walkonby; Wed, Mar 13th, 2019 at 09:36 AM.

I'm just so unbelievably angry at Canada for not grounding the Max8 airplanes! Sunwing HAS grounded them in Canada, so book Sunwing if you're going anywhere! Seems Canada could care less if any one of us dies in a crash!! It's obvious Boeing has our politicians in its pocket!

Good morning!
Just waiting for my turn to have a shower. Some people can shower or be showered in their own rooms but there are some, like me, who have to use the big shower chair in the big shower room!
Here is one of the pair of shoes my PT is thinking would be good for me - there are certain things in the description she is looking for
https://fosters.shoes/ziera-allsorts...king-shoe.html
Hopefully they will have red in my size! I do not want black shoes - though I fear I may end up getting stuck with some.
Sharing with you a photo taken last night - my favourite kitty with most favoured son!
In so many photos her eyes don't show, so I am glad they do here

I saw the shoes on someone's feet, but in a small size and they looked nice. Not sure but they might look clunky on my size 10s.
Had a good shower, did almost all myself (lol, that sounds odd even to me!).
After I was all ready for the day, lotioned and medicated, I called for someone to do my stockings. I knew there were two small scabs on my right shin, most probably from someone's nails. The student nurse came to look, then called a nurse. She said one was open and there was a small blister. Geez, just what I don't need! It was bandaged, with a hope it will just heal. The last time this happened it did so. The alternative is not good...
Then had rounds before lunch, there were six from my therapy team. Nothing much was said, except that for now, they are keeping my discharge date the same, April 3. I am more realistic, know that with this new foot injury I have backslid in progress for a week. My x-ray hasn't been read yet.
PT is at 2:30, so I will put my legs up for a while before I do some stretches.
