Another busy day yesterday. Went to Walmart, food basics and dollarama. Man Walmart sucks lol. It’s filthy and nothing seems to be in stock. I wanted weights and chia seeds and I couldn’t find even chia seeds. The weights, they had 2 different 10lb weights, an 8lb weight and like 2 - 2lb weights. Plus everyone walks around like they’re on the walking dead. No one seems to be aware of their surroundings.
Anyway hope everyone has a good day. It’s chilly here today but should start to be +13 or 14 in the next few days.

Nat-Must be nice to be considered a "low needs" patient for a change when the home care nurses are short staffed!! Glad you are back with your family and still managing to keep up with your walking and exercises!

Lol no but it’s getting worse. I used to work overnights there stocking shelves. We had 22 people working overnight spread between groceries and the general merchandise side. I hear now they have like 5 people overnight here. 4 on the grocery side and 1 on the general merchandise side. The 1 person on the general merchandise side is told pretty much just do what you can. The morning staff then come in and half the stuff isn’t stocked and it’s a mess.

Just eavesdropping in on your WM convos and I guess we must be the exception here; we have 2 supercentres and I gotta tell ya, they're clean as can be, always fully stocked, the produce is excellent...I guess we're very lucky here!
Management sure does make all the difference; let things slip and only concern yourself with the bottom line (cutting staff for instance) until the bottom falls out!

It's absolutely crap weather out there, sleet all day, it's on the ground and it's now raining on it, up to +double digits tomorrow? I'll believe that when I see it! I'm really ready to fly off to NYC again!!!!

Good morning!

Another not great night of sleep, not sure what is up since meds are the same as in hospital - and it's not like I miss the call button noise or lights during the night...

Mind you, way more stress than being in the hospital. Real life just does that!

Remember I wrote about the beeping in our house and that our son fixed the problem? Well it has been great not having that sound every half hour, but yesterday aft I went to call my husband and there was no line - yes, we still have a landline. I called our son, just to check if what he did could have affected our phone line and, sure enough, that was it. He thought the box in the basement was just for internet and cable, but when he shut it down (our cable and internet are from a different company), phone was included. So he simply had to turn it back on, but did not put batteries back in; it was drained batteries which made the unit beep.

So, it's not like I missed getting spam phonecalls, but realized also that's probably why I haven't had a nurse come by, either...

Yes, @lizzie bargain - it is good to not be critical! What I get is a general wellness check-up - vitals, heart/lungs, weight, meds, etc. I gained .4 lb this past week, which is not bad, considering I am on real food. They aren't concerned about weight gain from food, but it can be weight from swelling because of my heart. I haven't had any swelling, thank goodness!
