Good morning, friends!
Happy October! Sheesh ! How did that happen? All those bargains that go til the end of Sept....well, have to wait til next year. That crafty Sept......only having 30 days!
My wedding rehearsal last night went well. This couple is a little scattered...but everything will be fine.
It's going to be a hot day. Tootie needs grooming and so does her mom. I tried braiding my hair up last night. Not a bad attempt since I couldn't see what I was doing. I felt like a German frau but that's not uncommon around here.
Major push today to get my apartment ready for my visitor on Thursday and to sort out what the Sing Song Group will do next week.
Also get my phone issues sorted out. If I had my drothers, I would be going to see Downtown Abbey with my brother's group this afternoon.
Hmm.... not such an "blank slate" day after all! I think I will call my friend and go out for tea.
Well, time to launch!
Have a comfortable climate day and have fun!
By the way, @GoodBoy , what is Top T and congratulations, if that's appropriate.

good morning crew! First time that something I ordered from amazon.ca came broken! ( gasp! ) Such a beautiful item too, the long elegant glass carafe type thing was weirdly cracked along half the bottom and up one side but the glass was all still held in place? Back it goes, ordered a second one hoping it arrives before Thanksgiving. Really wanted to try making cold brewed coffee. I always thought it was just regular brewed coffee with ice in it, but apparently not.
So we are supposed to get a hot scorcher of a day? I'll take it after yesterdays chilly welcome.
Yesterday I needed my winter coat, today I may run nekkid!!

@walkonby I ordered a glass candle holder from sears and it came completely smashed. I’m sure the delivery person could tell it was broken because the box sounded like a box full of broken glass lol.
Anyway I'm off to go volunteer and then laundry. Maybe do some ddp yoga when I get home.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good day!!
Seems I'm finally getting over this cold/cough thing I picked up in NY...but still need to take it easy or I spike a temp for heaven's sake. One of the assistants in our DD's workplace will be celebrating a b'day and asked our DD if I'd sew her a shoe bag like the ones I sewed for her, so I'll go through my fabrics today...I may end up sewing one for each of the assistants.
She also volunteered me to make key-lime tarts for her b'day at the office, but that's not immediate.
@avoncallingu, you're hilarious!! So you're expecting a visitor and need to get your apartment ready, you and Tootie both need grooming, you have to organize that sing-song group, and sort out your phone issues, but you're calling a friend to tea? Hahahaha!!! You are a glutton for punishment, Girlie!! Hope you get all that done today!
@walkonby, I know, right? Making iced coffee is much more complicated than making coffee and chilling it...but..how different would the tastes be? You'll have to let us know if it's all worth the 'effort'. Amof, I seem to drink a lot of 'iced coffee' in the morning just by letting it sit too long! Hahaha!! I hope your new carafe arrives in good shape...Amazon is amazing with their delivery as long as you're doing a "prime" search, which means the items won't come from China.
Have you seen this before?
Could just as well apply to Canada, lol!!
Everyone, enjoy your day!!!
