@Lynn49 Thanks, i try to keep track of my calories but will have to stick to it more. I tried to use my fitness pal but didn't like it. I often wake up late and go to bed late. I didn't like the oops you missed breakfast reminders lol. I just used my pedal exerciser (20 mins legs and 20 mins arms) 1 week from this Thursday is my grocery shopping. no chips or anything on my list. Potatoes, carrots, 4kg of frozen veggies, etc. Also 1-2 bags of great value crispy chicken and some other items for main courses. I only have $110 to last a whole month for April but I'll have $170 for May. Wonder if that crispy chicken is not good for me. I think there are 9 pieces per bag if I buy 2 bags that would be 18 pieces to last a whole month.

@cabmonk , 2 of those chicken strips are 190 calories, 1 med potato is 77 calories, 1 cup frozen veggies about 120 calories for a total of 387 calories. And that's just 2 strips!! A little too rich for my diet because I know I'll want more than 2 strips of chicken.....I try to keep around 150 (bfst)-240 (lunch) each, then I can play with the rest for dinner and a snack in the evening, a Fibre 1 bar and tea, or jelly with coolwhip.

Weird you're getting those notices from MFP....I don't get a thing from them, and don't remember doing anything to decline them...do you get the notice by email? Weird. I find it so easy to plug a food item in and find the calories instead of going to another site.

    Good luck, Cabbie!!!!!

    Thanks @Lynn49
My fitness pal says my calorie intake should be 2400 calories. I am 6' 2" tall but weigh way too much lol. I restarted my fitness pal and there was an option to turn off notifications. It's just that if I wake up at noon it thinks I missed breakfast. If I go to bed at 3.30am and wake up at noon it's odd hours but still normal amount of sleep. I have reinstalled it and will keep up with it.

That's great, @cabmonk ..glad you could turn off notifications; I honestly don't remember having to do that.
I do know that I usually can't close off the page because I get the message that I didn't eat enough that day, so the next morning I just hit "Food" and open a new page! I love how it keeps track of foods we regularly eat in a list so we just have to click on them for our meals and add them on!

Good luck...wow...with I had 2400 calories allotted to me! Then again...maybe not?
I'll be anxious to hear your you're doing, Cabbie!

Thanks, lol yeah I know it's because I'm a big guy. Need more overall. What's weird I swear it showed pedal exerciser in their exercises before but it doesn't. So I just put light stationary bike as my exercise. Hope we both do well.

Good morning cabbie and Lynn !! I am finally back!!

So I feel somewhat emboldened....a teensy bit proud and almost confident in my motivation to tackle this extra weight issue once again. Those of us who have rinsed and repeated over and over with this know it is a challenge like no other.
    This time it's personal! Hrmph!!
I knew today was going to be my reset so I participated guilt free in yesterday's Easter meal as it was considered to be my last hurrah. ( I mean for gluten, starches etc. )

It was an early Easter brunch meal where I enjoyed just enough of everything DH made, ( Chix Parm, penne pasta and garlic bread ) sipped my zero calorie/zero sodium/zero sugar Blue Menu Blueberry/Pomegranate sparkling water and then that was all I ate until around 9 p.m. when I made a small iceberg lettuce salad with lots of crunchy veg in it. Plain water again before bed.

So this a.m. I woke up feeling pretty decent digestive wise. Did not have my first meal till 10 a.m.
( sauteed up 1/2 skn/bnls brst. along with some sliced shrooms and placed it on top of 1/2 c cooked Basmati and steamed broccoli.
Large mug of steeped loose black tea.

Hey @Lynn49 and @cabmonk did you two not get that email warning letter from My Fitness pal about the breach in their security? I went in and deleted my account because I had not been using it at all.
I am writing down what I eat in my "old school " journal with pen and paper. lol

On Apr 30th I am going to buy ddp yoga. I will get from fite tv and stream it. I don't have a dvd or blu ray player to buy the dvd's. It's a one time charge of $63.99. I hear it's pretty good so I'll see how it goes. Does anyone think it's worth it.

Hi @cabmonk , I saw that video before somewhere.
Although it is truly emotional and inspiring, I think the price is quite high for the streaming of this. Does it mean you have access to it forever for that price or just a limited amount of viewing?
These types of things are the kind that tug at your heart for sure.
Whatever you decide I hope you can find a program like that one that can change your life too.

@walkonby Oh it wasn't just that video that made me want to do it. I had wanted to do it long before seeign that video. I just wanted to share that video as a representation of the product. I think it's unlimited viewing for $63.99. You can buy the dvd's for about the same price but I don't have a dvd player.

@walkonby I sent them an email to ask if it was unlimited viewing and they said yes. Of course that doesn't mean their site couldn't have issues down the road and they go out of business at some point.

feeling a small victory now that week one is over. Week one of another re-start that is...lol. The great thing about failing, slipping, falling and disappointing myself is I can brush off the loss ( or in this case the gain ) and start anew!
My tummy has been thanking me all week with silence ( no talking back with digestive noises ) ha ha ha
