One of my full-time Daycare kids will be done at the end of February. The mom’s work situation didn’t work out the way she had planned, so they are returning to their old daycare out of town. I am glad this family gave me proper notice. I need to update my advertisements and get the word out again.
I also need to work on my teaching applications.

My new bathroom taps are now in along with two new water lines already thanks to a different guy. He also did two other small jobs for me for a total cost of $80.00 but free to me as I used part of our casino winnings. Total in coupons, GC'S, PC & CT$ saved this month was $282.99 and I have already put it on our mortgage like I do every month.
My heating bill is very low compared to others as I have gas and I pay $35.00 monthly in equal billing. I keep it at 73 here day in and night and already have an extra month's credit. This also includes our stove and barbecue.
I am not worried about SDM and PC merger as I only have 150 SDM points.
Laundry is going and the house is clean. I am looking forward to enjoying the rest of my night doing nothing.

Coupon Girl I have found Old Navy has really changed in the last few years and not for the better, at least for me. I used to always buy their cotton tank tops and dresses but nothing is cotton anymore and none of their cuts seem to be flattering on me. About the only thing I buy now is jeans and from what I have heard online the cuts of their jeans have changed as well and not for the better. I ended up getting some amazing deals at Pennington's last time I needed jeans so it has probably been over a year since I ordered from Old Navy.

Late night getting in from work. Commuting is such a drain. DH is out Wednesday nights and the older child was at work so it was breakfast for dinner, pancakes for Logan and an omelette for me. I made extra pancakes so the older child can warm them up after work.
I too am looking forward to the new points program, I don't think I will take advantage of many of the bonus offers as the pantry clear out challenge is underway. I will see if I can find a good price for Gatorade to do that offer with the 20.00 MIR. We go though lots of Gatorade in the summer so I will stash it away.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

So I've been MIA for a while
because life has been.....well crazy. Anyhoodles I'm back and hopefully more regularly .
I'm challenging myself to a NO SHOP MONTH. I decided to start February 1 partly because it was the closest month and to be honest it is the shortest.
Starting tomorrow I will not shop and only eat from our fridge/freezer and pantry. The only money that will be leaving our accounts will be for housing, diesel, bill payments and Harley's insulin and I will still shop for his lettuce (his only treat since he's a diabetic).
I really don't think it will be too big of a deal except for the coffees I like to grab once in a while on the way to work and the times I'm so beyond exhausted after work I can even think about cooking so we'd go out. Just means more planning is needed om my part.
I'm looking forward to having more $$$$ at the end of the day in my pocket. I've taken on a few more clients so I'm excited to see a real difference in my account numbers.
Wish me luck

Harbie-great to have you back-you can do this!! Think batch cooking on weekends or using your crockpot during your work days. I have missed your yummy posts on what's for dinner.

So heres a simple update for anyone not following the Whats for Dinner thread.
I made it for the month of no spending and I figured that I saved $803.42 in groceries and junk(coffees and takeout etc....). Another plus is not having so much food waste! It was basically only food scrapes and legit waste and not from things going bad or just forgetting it.
