Good morning! I had 325 emails waiting for me at work. Glad I am done going through them. Lunch for work today and tomorrow is in the fridge. Have apples and almond butter for my afternoon snack both days. Have my gym clothes so will pop out in the afternoon. We did lots of walking while on vacation so good time to get back at my routine.
Dinner tonight is steak, potatoes, mushrooms, onions and salad.
Tomorrow- Pasta with meat sauce
Thursday- Chicken, green beans, oven fries (for DS)
Pasta sauce and chicken cooked and ready!
I cleaned house before we left so it was nice to come home to a tidy house. I am working on getting all the laundry done. 2 loads done yesterday. I want to clean out all the closets this week and donate all clothing not needed to the donation box in town. It is available 24/7 which is nice. No boxes/bags needed so can load up the back of SUV and then drop it off in the bins.
Shopping- I didn't shop much the 2 weeks before our trip so was excited to go yesterday. Spent under $5 OOP and used $90 in PC PTS ($105 with extra redemption amount) ($16.99 on a gift set and $6.99 on mascara for me) The rest was food. No sugar! Healthy only.
I am really focusing on prepping our meals and being organized in the kitchen. No take out!!
Have a wonderful week everyone!

DH is improving, hopefully we can see a discharge date sometime this month. I'm miss my Y pool program, and my normal routine. While at the hospital I started reading "the vagina bible". It's such an informative book, written by a female gynaecologist, highly recommend. I have one day left to finish it as there are 40 people waiting for it at library.

So I went to Walmart in November 1st for halloween candy nothing but chips but I bought mini Brie.
I went shoppers the same day and picked up 2lb bag of rockets for 4.71$ since everything was 50%.
I went to no frills Saturday to buy food and came across more halloween candy and bought a box of gummy candy for $3.
Then on Sunday I went to Walmart to buy mugs because I don’t have any because Tracy never brings them back. I bought Christmas mugs.
And today I am doing some more laundry two loads. Someone broke their chip off in the card reader and I made the do something about it because apparently they knew about it on Friday but did nothing about it. I am unimpressed but this typical BS that goes on here.

If it's the memory foam pillow from Costco, they are fantastic! I've had one of mine for over two years and it's still in great shape. Super comfortable. With he cheapo pillows I remember waking up throughout the night and adjusting it, sometimes folding it over to make it thicker ... this pillow is always perfect for me!

@Giseledta I had the same reaction over a week ago about Hydro One's rates. But our Premier has made the utilities show consumers what the unsubsidized rates are---he's not winning me over with that game play. There's still the rebate on PST shown somewhere. I have to find the Winter Rates chart-took off the Summer Rates chart off the fridge just yesterday. So that 6.5 cents per kwh was likely the subsidized rate.
It'll be fun trying to sneak in some hand laundry in the am if I don't do it before 7am! I have a load of laundry items that will get attention after 7pm in hopes that the heat kicks in by 11pm and dries most of it by morning.
8 kids were over for Halloween night and that wind picked up before 8pm, when I stopped staying outdoors to greet any kids (steps were wet and flowers flopped over but Mom would not let me cut her precious flowers...). Friday morning and afternoon-raking and mulching. My mid-back threw a lovely two day fit (spent half of Saturday in bed as couch was uncomfortable during tv watching and I could not relax), so no shopping for groceries until yesterday. Longo's TYR members can get $2.99 Tropicana OJ jug price if they have their cards at checkout for swiping-deal ends on Wed! I got one OJ jug, another of the store's cherry apple cider (not many left) plus some produce and shampoo, all just under $25. Popped into LCBO for three items. Went home to poach pears in wine (brother did not like the cooking aromas) and do a double batch of roasted potatoes but like that other time without the recipe page, I used the wrong temperature (another 20min at right temp sort of saved the potatoes). Then off to return containers ($2.30), find some Monopoly game pieces (found 4) and buy a few things at Fortinos (where I noticed some new coupons on the board/in the store and obtained some).
For the first time that I can recall, some upper siding came loose and one piece was slapping in the wind against the downspout enough times to propel me (too noisy!)to go outside in the wee morning dark and deal with it. Never happened before in high wind situations. Then the power winked out for two seconds about 40min later when sibling came home and I just explained the situation with the siding. Power came back on. We went to bed.
Last night, I realized that I may have to reconsider going to a Toronto post-secondary open house (did the advance e-registration) later this month, because I realized if I wish to be on campus by 10am, I am going to have to figure out which transit route is the best option. Should weather be lousy, I just won't head out. Sunday local transit can be iffy in regular conditions, let alone in lousy weather. And if anything impacts the TTC subway, I am disadvantaged in knowing which TTC buses are heading to my destination. Must double check to see if I do have a current TTC map as it's not with my bus schedule bundle.
Where can I find a replacement 150W or LED equivalent exterior floodlight bulb? No luck at Lowes locally and it seems most stores don't stock the old bulbs, just the LED ones for indoor floodlights. Kind of stumped.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

As for tea, I definitely have a mug each evening and try for one during the day, having different ones. I did put a packet of stevia in a mug of Earl Grey decaf tea and noticed the same black licorice taste (kind of a two flavours fight in a mug-not pleasant). Save the stevia for the herbal teas, not the black teas.
Plan is to roast another batch of veggies tonight -The Living Kitchen Cookbook mentions baked veggie fries using sweet potato, beets, parsnips and daikon radish. I don't have the radish and I'd like to enjoy beets in some manner without them being pickled. I'd like to know if this fry recipe works out better than FFW parboil then roast fry recipe which left me not impressed for the time and effort.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I read about the increase last week but I have to honest I am confused, these are quite the jump in numbers but they are saying the average household will only see an increase on average of $1.99/month. Not sure how that is possible and who came up with the figure of $1.99/month

Forgot to mention this offer at M&M Food Market that ends on Wed.:$3.99 sale price for pre-cut parchment paper sheets. Usually $5.99. https://www.mmfoodmarket.com/en/prod...ent+paper&pg=1
Since I already bought a regular roll at Sobey's recently, I cannot justify another box of parchment paper just now.
But I know sheet pan meals and cookie baking are popular with SC members, so you have your incentive to stock up now!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
