Here, here! Absolutely right. Those who pro-choice over their own bodies are demanding hospital care. How dare they!?!
Also, all those people who are overweight, drink alcohol, and smoke need to learn how to die quietly, instead of adding pressure to the strained health care system. Those who refuse to take care of themselves need to just die. They chose to live bad lifestyles and now may not avail themselves of doctors.
I made none of those poor health choices. I should be at the very front of the line.

3 of us are fully vaccinated as of today. (Ds2 is too young) we are pro choice and anti vaccine passport. We would prefer everyone get vaccinated but draw the line at taking away peoples rights and freedoms. We all had the Pfizer vaccine but would have refused the others due to the blood clot risks. I’m already on medication that increased my risk of blood clots which thankfully hasn’t seemed to be a problem so far but wasn’t going to increase the risk.
not everyone who is against forced vaccinations or the vaccine passports are antivaxers. In NB you can’t even go to a funeral or visit someone in the hospital without the passport/government ID.Last edited by francine1985; Wed, Sep 22nd, 2021 at 07:16 PM.

Why would you go to the hospital after all that clean living? The folks who eat a good meal, those who like, say, a Shiraz over a Malbec or a Smithwicks instead of an Innis and Gunn are my people. Not so much the smokies these days, but, certainly I had my time of smoking, though it hasn't been for many, many years.
I don't know any Jehovah-vaxxers, but I imagine they might leave me some literature some day.
Folks who chose to be vaccinated could probably also be described as pro-choice.
There's data to suggest that those who are unvaccinated are contributing to the virus becoming stronger, which I find scary. Also, virus shedding happens for longer than originally thought. These are just a couple other ideas as to why vaccinating might be prudent.

According to the argument presented, some would contend that the fact that you smoked at any point in your life should disqualify you from medical attention. After all, you voluntarily damaged your lungs (even if they have mostly recovered.) Early in the pandemic the Dr. Hinshaw was reporting that current and former smokers were more at risk to the virus.
God bless them for making their choice. Now, let others make their own.
And there's data that vaccination also contributes to the virus becoming stronger and developing / mutating to avoid vaccines, the same way bacteria develop resistance to antibiotics.
I've seen the claims for longer viral shedding periods, but they apply both to the vaccinated and the unvaccinated who become infected. Vaccination does not prevent infection; it only mostly reduces severe outcomes. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I said I was 'smoking', not that I smoked...SMH...
Here's a pretty damning article about the effects the unvaccinated are having in BC. Pretty upsetting information.

And Global News Edmonton (https://globalnews.ca/edmonton/) just live-reported 1040 hospitalization cases with 223 of them fully vaccinated. That's 21.44% with double-dose vaccination.
If you think you're safe hiding behind your passport? Think again. Dangerous behaviours are still dangerous. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Heres some news. Double vaxxed GD2 and her classmates have been told to get tested for covid because 1 classmate unvaxxed has contracted covid. There are 11 kids in her class. One of which has MD and is currently in the hospital. The school does not have a rapid testing kit presently so DS had to make an appointment for her. That will be done tomorrow.
I have a need to weight in on something. You dont hide behind a passport; you gain entry with a passport just like a Canadian passport. 'nough said.Last edited by SnowFlakey; Thu, Sep 23rd, 2021 at 06:02 PM.

Sigh, the fact that double-vaccinated are being tested at least shows the school is smart enough to realize that vaccinated people still spread the virus.
Absolutely agree that you gain entry with a useless passport so that you can sidle up to an infected passport holder and share air with them. 'nough said.My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I’m not a fan of Hinshaw. One has to wonder how things could have been different if she had only stood up to the premier. The ICU situation is just horrible.

GoodBoy i dont like putting people on "ignore" because im curious to see to what lengths they will go to twist information to suit their beliefs. Lots of left wingers out there lots of left wing opinions, you could call them trumpers i guess. But anyway, they amuse me and their opinions are good for a laugh.

DS just called and said the test for GD2 was just done. Will know the answer within 24 hours. He said the testing is different now. It is not done with a quetip up the nose anymore. He said, the nurse gives you a liquid and you have to sort of gargle a few times and then spit it into a container. What happens if you cant gargle; you always gag.
