I’ve been teaching my online Grade 7 class for the last 2 weeks. Yesterday was my best instructional class with the students so far. I created a simple Math game that I used with my class yesterday and they loved it! During Social Studies class involved a scavenger hunt to learn about globalization.

Today my students will be working on projects. I created an Arts Ed music assignment for my students. I hope they enjoy it. It’ll take a few days to properly create it. I think they’ll have fun.

    Good Morning and TGIF!

Dropped DS off at school then stopped at No Frills. Bought 3lbs of the lean beef. Its cooking now to make taco meat for taco salad/tacos this weekend. Boys leave them so like to make when I can and have all the fixings ready on hand! Bought 5 bags of the pc frozen veggies for the freezer since i had personal pc pts offer. We are stocked up no for sure for this and next winter I am guessing as I buy fresh when the price is right. I also splurged on a $3 cheesecake in the flyer lol. It is about the only sweet thing my oldest eats so thought it would be nice for him and his GF.

So my goal to sell 10 items yesterday....does it count if pick up for today was arranged yesterday/last night? If so I did it!
4 axe kits sold and picked up already for $24 (I paid $5 plus tax but we have so much of that stuff so don't need)
6 pairs of too small pants of DS's to be picked up at noon for $15.
Lady coming at 4 to pick and choose the baby clothing at 3 for $1.
I consider goal accomplished! Now to get some work work done and then back out in the garage!

Frugalbigmama, yes the regular prices are insane, a couple of weeks ago Mom wanted Green Onions so I went to grab a bunch when I was at No Frills it was $1.97/bunch. Granted I normally buy them on sale but usually I get 2 or 3 bundles for $1. Funny thing was the next week they were ons ale for $0.67/bunch so I grabbed 2.

Potatoes just out of curiosity I looked at Costco's price (I do not need any I got them on sale for $1.99/bag at Food Basics) they are up to $9.99 for a 15 lb bag.

We are ok since we are smart and shop the sales but feel bad for people that just go in and fill their cart. I have tons of perogies and oven fries to fix the potato crave here when the bag I have is gone

Taco meat cooked and cooling. Kitchen is clean. Load of laundry is on. Will hang out to dry once ready. Today DS didn't have to wear his uniform to school so I was able to toss it in the wash which makes me happy to get it all done today!

My No Frills was selling 25lb box of red sheppard peppers for $5. (RCSS selling for $9.97) (and someone on Facebook selling for $25 and mostly green peppers....good luck with that wow)

I just did my first online order with food hero the iga near me store(online application like flashfood but for metro and iga)
the 2 things I disliked are: the pick up is only tomorrow morning at 9 am not now and I did not had the 5$ credit since I had no referall code..
    Ordered 2 x 4 per pack blueberries muffins(saving of 60%) so 1,79$ each
2 x 4 per pack carrots muffins (saving of 40%) so 3,79$ each
total came to 7 or 8 something ...I think it is ok
we go trough a lot of muffins and I will probably freeze some

croissants I want at maxi and cie are low in stock that suck!

    Good Evening Everyone,
Oh what a day, I felt like I was having an identity crisis today, I had to be three people. I was myself, the production admin I have been covering for week, plus one of our order desk girls was away today and she covers some areas no one else can cover. So I spent my day monitoring 3 email accounts and doing 3 people's jobs. Plus our production manager was covering one of his staff members so I was in the office alone most of the day covering most of the paperwork.

Then I get home and went to get something for dinner to discover there was water on the floor in front of the freezer, the door was not sealing shut. I admit it after my day I lost it a little bit, called Mom at work and was trying not to cry. Mom calmed me down and when I looked further it looked like just the door defrosted everything else was still frozen so I might lose some hot dogs and sausages they were still cold but not frozen. But I was totally panicked the amount of meat I have in that freezer, oh my. But I do think having it so tightly packed helped everything stay frozen.

I decided to try to start checking some things off my to do list as I have A LOT to get done this weekend, I am already overwhelmed and now Mom has lost her Sunday off so she will not be home to help me. So I took what I was hoping would be an hour ended up being more like an hour and a half and I:
Cooked 1 package of ground beef, split it in half and froze
Cooked 2 packaged of Ground Turkey, turned out to be a lot of meat so broke into 3 packages and froze
Chicken Breasts, cut 5 into Small Chicken Chunks, pulled off all the tenders. 4 are still whole to be dealt with later

All of the dishes are done, kitchen is clean and garbage was taken out as it was full of meat packages. I wanted to get more done but my back is killing and I cannot stand anymore.

I need to adjust my plan for the weekend since it is going to be warm this weekend. Originally I was going to do a bunch of cooking but it was more cool weather based, soups, chili & comfort foods. Plus I am not sure I will want to have a bunch of pots on the stove boiling away. Will have to see how warm it gets tomorrow.

Alright did not get the production schedule done before I left work so I need to get that done and I was handed cycle count sheets I need to go over, then it is bedtime for me.

    Have a great night everyone

Yay, I am home for the weekend. It will be a busy one as DS2 has lacrosse and we are in desperate need of groceries. DH picked up a few things this week but we are out of the fun stuff as my younger pointed out, I also need to go to Costco and apparently it’s crazy town again. I also have a lot of work to catch up on and want to post a few items to give away or sell.
Mom is recovering well and doing ok on her own.
I had an amazing Flashfood buy today. English muffins for 10 cents. Which means they will be free because if you spend less than 25 cents in a transaction they don’t charge you. I bought 2 bags.

I've really noticed the insane grocery prices in the last month, I'm almost embarrassed with the total when I pay. I haven't priced matched or couponed nearly enough in the past few years but I'm fighting back to save money where I can. My best deal this week was at Metro with the downloaded app offers. $9 on Bounty 4=6 pack paper towels (reg price $11.99) and a $10 am redemption.
My goal is to really focus on price matching/SCOP and coupons so that I can save up for some special things that we otherwise can't afford.

As far as homemade snack foods, we're going to pull out our bits and bites recipe and use up some of the cheerios and shreddies we bought on sale. I was surprised that all of the Lea & Perrins large bottles were sold out in Metro, I guess with all of the home cooks now, there is more of a demand for Worchestershire sauce go figure.

    Have a great weekend!

    Good Morning Everyone,
Slept really well last night which is amazing but still tired (I have decided this is my new state of being, tired LOL).

I am getting stuff done today but trying to take it easy also as my back is really not happy. It is not hurting like it was last night but it has that feeling of you push me and great pain will come. So I am taking more breaks which means getting things done is a little slower but it is what it is, I cannot risk my back going out right now. I am going to focus on the food stuff I need to get done as it will go bad if I do not deal with it, so if the cleaning does not get done I will live with it and deal with it later.

Just made a second cup of tea and going to take a little break over my to do list and prioritize what MUST be done this weekend and see where I stand.

Hope everyone is having a great day.
