@cath007 Bonne fete a votre tante! I have to know if she uses rosemary in her cooking or any other herb or food that she attributes to her good health?
Guess the weekly paper bundle will show up on Thursday. Will look at flyers online and I've saved a few Optimum offers. Entertained Bro with real estate videos on Youtube as one home in our area is listed for 2nd time in about 7 years and one popular condo building has a current realtor sign so I want to know which unit it is. Even comparing two older townhouses in same survey (in Burlington), both have same kitchen cabinets (could have been by design) but one homeowner used a bronze/brown penny tile backsplash that works so well with decor.
Noticing too many home with the basic white builder's ceramic floor tile. One home had 3 colours of same tile (white, grey and warm yellow) used throughout home and none were set at 45 degree angle. It was hard to view that video. I'm not a fan of light gray paint for walls. A couple of homes went a little overboard with intense colours differing in most bedrooms. Plenty of people seem to shop flooring auctions-can see 2-3 different engineered laminates fighting for pattern dominance on both storeys of new homes. My eyes...
Laundry rooms and backyards seem to be the last places some sellers think to spend money on. But a few spend money for decor and heart's desire outdoor kitchen/patio/fire table/pool.
The chocolate craving today has been persistent. I was able to get one more treat today but I said to Bro "I wish you had 5 more..."
Enjoyed a second cup of milky sweet tea tonight (satisfying!).
Have a second load of laundry drying and will stop after it's done. Tomorrow morning, I will spend time in the yard to see what needs to be bagged.
I have printed a copy of the sheet pan turkey meal. It might come in handy later this month."This is the Way." The Mandalorian

Instagram seems so tempting for contests. Have to decide to join or see what happens if Facebook does get rebranded. Story on Inside Edition was about the metaverse and Facebook rebranding soon. Possibly affecting Instagram and WhatsApp too.

Good Morning Everyone,
Up super earlier this morning, I was awake before my alarm which has not happened in a long time. So I got up and go working and was able to knock a few things out.
Basement update:
Good news is the basement is completely waterproofed which is probably good news as it is supposed to rain today.
Now, the stairs, the stairs are becoming an issue. We were talking to contractor yesterday who said they could not put our stairs back on as they fell apart when they removed them and could not be reattached as planned. So we contacted property management to say "hey, what's the plan here, can you let us know so if needed we can make alternate arrangements," ie me staying with family so I can get to work in the morning.
Honestly, I am a little upset with the email back because it did not answer the simple question, instead it was basically telling us this is complicated (which we know) and we need to be patient (which we are) and that was the end of it. All we wanted to know was if we would or would not have stairs today as we thought I needed to cover a manager today. Good news I do not need to cover the manager because we still do not have stairs.
Also a little worried as the contractors told us they could not reattach our stairs because they fell apart when they were removed. Property management is telling us we had a few rotten board they will replace and they will put the stairs back.
Now, I am a bit worried about today as it is raining and I am not sure if they will be working in the rain or if we have to go another day without stairs. I am really really hoping we get stairs back today.
Property management feels this is not an issue as we have a backdoor and we should just use that but the issue is the back area is not have proper lighting and is not maintained and when you leave for work at 6 am it is hazardous trying to get out. I feel like they feel we are complaining but really we are just trying to make sure if I need to go into work I can safely.
The basement drama just continues and I am over the drama, I just want life to get back to normal.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I hope they get the stairs fixed safely for you @SassyAshley
Well it's a quiet day planned here. DH is toughing out the wisdom teeth removal like a hero. Today is an exciting day for him, we can add a few more items to his menu. Instant breakfast has come in super handy for a liquid meal.
I want to start cleaning for my SIL and BRO arrivals next Tuesday. I try to avoid the cleaning flailing that I used to put myself though.
So I'll get the guest room bedding ready as well as dusting and vaccuming.
Salad plans for me today. I might make a bean salad for myself as well while DH is on a soft food diet
I'm going to try to make a butternut squash soup for dinner.. Wish me luck!

Rough morning for me, which I blame on the upcoming rain. Wanted to watch the Bachelorette on the Citytv app as I missed it on Tuesday. Have a big pile of books and free magazines to read but unless this headache clears soon - my day will be written off (sleep and pain medication).
My PC offers are terrible this week. I noticed that fragrance is being promoted each week. I do have an offer to register my credit card for prescriptions, not sure how that will make pick up any faster at my Shoppers. Only offering 3,000 points ($3) so will wait.
Even though my day isn't going well today, I hope everyone else has a great day today!

Yes, that rain is coming down here in Ancaster too. Glad I made a pan of roasted potatoes for lunch. I was craving them last night (I even ate white chocolate chips to soothe my chocolate craving a little) at 11pm but waited until after my tea this morning to get the potatoes ready for the oven! Tossed another dairy item in the fridge. Think it's time to do a wipe down and assessment of groceries needed. I did not have a list ready when Mom was about to leave for a store yesterday (after 3 days of pleading with her to get Costco items to no avail) so I'm not wiping out with on-demand shopping requests. Getting various lists jotted today, as I was looking for ground white pepper and could not find it, then recalled I used the last of it recently (but did not jot it on a list).
Local church is doing its textile drive on Sat (used to be in late Nov but the light levels and temperatures are better in Oct). One bathrobe that I was planning to use while beautiful is too short and heavy for me. It's been laundered and will go into the bags with clothing to donate plus textiles that can be used for rags. Will see if Mom has identified items she said she wants to launder--I'm pushing for today as tomorrow will be cold and I anticipate Mom will be affected by the temp drop. She usually feels the effect of rain too.
Should be a cinch to spend some time organizing and cleaning my room. A second mug of tea will help start off the task soon!
CHCH Morning Live had segments filmed at the Hamilton location of The Millionaire's Daughter consignment store on-air today. It was fun to see the furnishings. Yesterday's segments had Tim at Theatrix Costume Rentals. That brought a smile to my face!"This is the Way." The Mandalorian

My littlest granddaughter is under the care of a specialist at mac kids hospital ,she is on meds for a current infection ,but will have to go back in a few months ,hopefully everything will correct itself in a few months so she can avoid a test(as doctor said she is so young she is only age 3) or possible operation down the road .
I just talked to my son and that felt good ,but i still worry about my small grandkids when they are sick .Cara wanted to drop in and see us yesterday after the hospital visit but my son had to get the meds into her that were at home ,but she is in school today (no fever ) and that is a good thing .

My biggest challenge at the moment(well maybe not exactly the biggest buy very important) is to have my cat realise that the recliner belongs to me and not him. I will make allowance for sitting on the seat, however I do not like him sitting along the top of the recliner. Especially when I'm sitting in it!
While back in reality,I read and see in person, that food prices are up and there are still rarely any good sales on meat. It seems it's gonna get worse before better.
Like many of you, I need my own meal plan and have some variety at the same time. I drool when I read your posts but words don't fill me up.
A journey starts out with a single step and that's what I'll do when I'm caffeinated!
Whatever you find yourself up against take it one day/hour/minute at a time as needed. Blessings my friends!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Today is officially not my day.
Good News/Bad News:
Good News they got ou porch reattached against the house, bad new they did not attach the stairs so the front of our house still is not accessible.
I went out and check last night to see if I could out the back and I could. Problem is it rained last night which flooded the back and made the mud like Ice. As I mentioned it is poorly lite back there so I thought I was being careful where I was stepping but nope, down I went into the mud.
I found some constructions scraps and managed to get up to our front door to let myself back in so I could change.
Then I went out the front door and was trying to slide off the porch but they put up wood so we would not use our porch (I was not risking the back pathway again) and as I slide off my knee gave out and I fell for the second time trying to leave for work.
Oh I am not done, so I was weaving my way through the construction that is our front yards and did not see a patch of mud and you guess it down I went again. This time I really hurt myself, not going to lie, i sat there and cried for a minute but had to pick myself up as I was now running late for work and yeah complete melt down at this point.
I did not have a choice I had to come into work as I am covering a manager and there is no one else who can but yeah. The pain is real as I sit here my legs are killing me so I have told a coworker, I will sit here I will work but the walking is on him.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
