Vacation is over (actually it was back to work on Wednesday). It was wonderful. Felt like it was a month long vacation. Nothing big just day trips in our own backyard.

I picked up my adult reading prize from our public library. I estimate it’s worth about $75. A variety of local businesses donated items for it. Gift certificate for 12” Dominos pizza, coupon for 2 free cinnamon buns, coupon for free Icecream cone, hand knit socks, a large novel, a metal bookmark, and a bear craft kit.

Good day, didn't get it all done but that was to be expected my to-do-list was very ambitious.

Most of the veggie and fruit prep is done:
Old bag of Romaine has been cut, washed and bagged for Salads
New bag of Romaine has been trimmed of the outer leaves, cut up and small bit added to bag above, bigger pieces in a bag for sandwiches and the full romaine heads in bags for later
**Should be good on lettuce for at least 3 weeks now
The tops of my zucchinis were going icky so they are sliced and ready to use
Cucumbers and peppers have been cut for the week but I used some of the peppers for dinner and might need to chop more
Broccoli is cut up, some will be cooked in the instant pot some will be left as is
Grapes have been washed and are in a container
6 Chocolate Croissants have been made, 2 were eaten for breakfast this morning
4 Croissants have been cut up to make Croissant Puff tomorrow
Hamburger Buns have had paper towel added to go in the freezer
Buns have been packaged in baggies with paper towel to go in the freezer

I have decided to do most of the actual cooking tomorrow.

Dinner tonight was Steak Sandwiches with Onions, Mushrooms, Peppers and Cheddar Cheese. I made Air Fryer Fries on the side and a Side Salad with Romaine, Cucumbers, Carrots, Peppers, Salad Topper and Non Creamy Caesar Dressing.

The only cleaning I got done today outside of the kitchen was I deep cleaned our bathtub. Mom mentioned the tub needed to be cleaned but she could not do it as her hip is really acting up today, I wanted to deep clean the bathtub anyways so I went and deep cleaned it. Everything has been scrubbed down. I do still need to clean the rest of the bathroom but by the time I was done the tub I was hot so will save the rest of the bathroom for another day.

    Hi all.

Dropped DS off at work this morning and headed to the casino for free breakfast and use free slot play. Time flew by!
Ordered beef dips and fries to take home for dinner for everyone. No cooking today (and I won $$$ )

Just returned home from RCSS/FB. Picked up a few things to keep us stocked up. (the grapes at FB are amazing and I am not normally a grape lover)

Need to fill up with gas but thinking it may drop again tomorrow so will wait it out. I have 35 kms left..... lots left for running around town

Tomorrow is tackle the to do list. Will putter in the garage too and post a few things for sale. Need to get on that!

I find that grapes are the perfect food for TV/movies. They replace less healthy options such as chips or candy. I could eat a whole bag and not feel guilty, in the least.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Today is hubbys bday. Older son made ribs and steak for dinner and my cousin joined us. It was a lovely evening.
today I went paddling and the water level is quite low, I am hoping I have another month of SUP. My NF offers were blech but I had the 10000 PCO when u spend 100.00 and DS2wanted some food for school to ensure his meal plan makes it and to not have to pay a crazy amount for breakfast when all he wants is cereal. So the offer came in handy. Unfortunately the cereal was cleared so I could not take advantage of the offer. But we had enough at home for him to take back.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Up and getting the day started. Our PVR is set for the week and I am enjoying a cup of tea before I get my day started.

Last night well I caught up on some of my true crime shows (I think I am a little obsessed which is surprising as I used to hate and I do mean hate these shows, actually gave me nightmares when I was younger) I did do a little bit of work. I had some info I needed to type up from our meeting and some screen shots I needed to edit. Odd fact about me, editing images for me is relaxing.

I am really trying to find the balance I found coming back from vacation. One thing I have done is started reading again. I used to love to read but the last few years reading for me was long work emailed. Well we were away I finished 2 books and got part way through 2 more books, yes I was reading 2 books at time, one on my kindle and one physical book. Since getting back I finished 1 book and started another but still have 2 books on the go.

    Alright, my kitchen is calling.

    Happy Sunday

I always read on vacation too. I "finally" finished the book I started on vacation in FEB 2020! I need to start making time for it again (I have a pile of books waiting!)
