    Good Morning Everyone,
Ugh, I am still having such a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. I do not know what is up this week but I can also see it is self sabatosh. I woke up at 5 am when my alarm went off then my 6 am alarm went off and the next thing I knew it was 6:40 and I had to get up.

Was able to get a spot at a local pharmacy to get my flu shot. This is the first time I will ever get a flu shot but it seems like a good idea. I meant to get one last year but things happened and it did not happen. Just feel like it is a good idea.

I am working on basket 15 out of 18 for work but realized I might need one more if another remote worker will be in the office at the same time I will be. This project has kind of snowballed, I was thinking like 10 of these baskets max when I started. Now I just have to hope I get enough cookies to fill all of these baskets.

Still have a list of mysteries to figure out for work but I did enjoy yesterday when I got to explain one by starting off with "Do you remember the great box shortage of 2021, where it was taking 15+ weeks to get boxes and we had to get creative and were using the wrong boxes, therefore, the counts per box were off? This is how your inventory is off." But in all seriousness, cleared up a lot of mysteries which needed to be done before inventory. A number of outages are no longer outages.

The house, oh the house needs my attention. I got a bunch of day-to-day stuff done yesterday but now I need to get back to the projects.

Happy Wednesday, we have reached the halfway point.

    Good Morning!

This is a crazy week! DS has exams so back and forth for him. He has his allergy shot this afternoon. He gets his braces off tomorrow!!
Work for me is crazy but I am just plugging along.

I just made eggs and toast for breakfast. Will tidy kitchen. Dishwasher will be run at the end of the day today.
I should put a load of laundry on and hang it to dry. Need to do 30 mins of wrapping today as well to get it all done!!
Going to push through and get stuff done today so I can enjoy the weekend.

Will look over the flyers that end today incase there is something I need to pick up. And look at the upcoming sale flyers. Save my PC pts.
Haven't really spent much on groceries the past few weeks. Fresh stuff only and we still have stuff to use up.

    Good morning all,
I hope you get some relief @cath007

Can you post some pictures of the final product @SassyAshley ? Sounds like you’re putting a lot of work into them.

I’ll be doing laundry like you @Frugalbigmama . Congrats to your son for his braces coming off.

@harbie wonderful news to hear all your tests came back clear.

Yes, I will post a photo when I am done. Just hoping I can get all the cookies made this weekend. Originally I was going to drop them off Tuesday/Wednesday to give me Monday as a buffer day if needed but now I need to be office on Monday.

Got my flu shot, it was a very busy place with people getting both their flu shots and Covid Boosters. Most of them seem to be mentioning they would be travelling over Christmas and wanted to be as safe as possible.

I was a little worried when I got there as there were a lot of people waiting. Luckily since I had booked my appointment online there was no paperwork to fill out, they just have to verify my health card and I was taken in right away and given my shot. I did have to wait 15 minutes to make sure I did not have a reaction so I wandered the store.

WOW the prices at SDM are so high, I mean I always knew they were high but comparing some of the stuff I buy elsewhere like we are talking double the price. My SDM does not sell food so could not compare.

Glad to not only catch up on the latest lives of fellow frugalites but also to be able to post too.Too often I just don't get around to posting either because of my time management or my body complaining.Of course I no sooner say that then...but I digress
The Christmas tree is up and it has a set of Bubble Lights on it plus one decoration. It's still a work in progress. That said, the cat loves to sit on the ottoman by it.
My best buy of the week was the deal with the McCain Fries and PC Optimum points at NF.I coupled the deal with a coupon and ended up paying 69 cents per pkg.
To balance out the healthy part of the diet I bought a roast at Metro for 5ish dollars per pound.Despite increasing grocery prices,I'm finding that roast beasts are often on sale somewhere for 5-6 dollars per pound which I don't understand. But it works out much cheaper than buying a burger meal out somewhere so that's my choice.Anyhow this talk of food reminds me that it's about time for dinner so I bid you my friends goodbye! Stay safe with this boatload of snow coming
P.S. Roast Beasts is my nod to a familiar Christmas character I do know the actual term.

I got approval to take Wednesday afternoon off next week, that way I can attend both of my kids’ Christmas concerts. I’m using my banked EDO time from lunch supervisions. This will be their first Christmas concerts since COVID. It will be our twins’ very first Christmas concert. Dh has next week off for holidays, so he will also be able to attend!

@coupon girl , hope you feel better and so sorry to hear you got bad news about a family member.

Yes, kids are a walking germ factory. Every time I talk to my cousin one of his is sick and it has been this way since their oldest started daycare and now with 2 in school.

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
Today did not go as planned. Mom had a specialist appointment that originally she had planned to go to alone but she woke up in quite a bit of pain and knew she could not walk long distances. So I went with her so she could be dropped off and picked up at the door and not have to walk. It is a good thing I went, there was no parking, the lot was full and people were fighting as they were blocking each other in.

I dropped her off and headed over to work as one of our locations is 5 to 10 minutes from where her appointment was. I was only there 10 minutes and she was already texting me she was done and to come back and get her. Had just enough time to have a quick chat with our production manager and AP and I was off again.

On the way home I stopped and grabbed a few groceries. At Food Basics I got:
    1 x Shrimp $6.99 (For New Year)
1 x Spring Rolls $4.99 (For New Year)
    1 x Lemons 3lb $2.88 (Christmas Baking)
    1 x Cherry Tomatoes 681g $6.99 - $3 Digital Coupon $3.99
    1 x Raspberries $1.88

    No Frills:
    2 x Green Onions $1.49 (PM Freshco)
    2 x Russet Potatoes 10lbs $1.99
1 x White Bread $2.29 (Need for Stuffing for Christmas)
    1 x Rosemary $1.99
    4 x Chicken Broth $1.49
    4 x Beef Broth $1.49
    3 x Classico Pasta Sauce $1.97 (PM Wal-Mart)
    1 x Classico Alfredo $1.97 (PM Wal-Mart)
1 x Silk Vanilla Almond Milk $1.99 (PM Zehrs)
    2 x Gay Lea Sour Cream $2.29

I had a gift card which I used so $0 out of pocket at No Frills.

    Sobey's:
1 x Sage $2.29 (No one had sage, Food Basics and No Frills were out)
1 x Prime Rib Roast $6.85/lb with a Scene Card

I used Scene points to pay so I only spend $5.35 out of pocket. It is a nice treat for Mom, I know she loves Prime Rib and since it is only us for Christmas this year. We are planning a Chicken for Christmas but this is another option to have on hand during the Christmas Season.

People were very upset at Food Basics, they had eggs on sale but did not get any. I did not need any eggs, I will admit the price did tempt me but I know I do not have room in the fridge for them.

At No Frills the cashier said when she opened this morning there was a lineup of people trying to get in before the storm. One guy actually pushed her out of the way to get in and then only bought yogurt. People, seriously you have to push someone to get yogurt.

I may price match more Classico next week if I am close to No Frills or RCSS, I am sure my Wal-Mart is already sold out.

Add me to the club Sassyashley as the day not going as planned.

Drove DS to his 10am appt (remove braces yippee). Turned at the intersection and looked in my rearview and watched an accident happen.
Thankful it was not us!!! So in exchange to not being in an accident my car wouldn't start after the appt. Dead battery! Decided to get a new one and on the battery was a coupon for 3 years of Roadside assistance for FREE! So it worked out as I was just talking about needing to get it with my sister the other day so the battery paid for itself! My day has been upside down all day.

Home and parked in the garage safe from the weather we are getting.

Dinner- Steak since DS can eat it without it getting in his braces!! We have fresh asparagus and potatoes to go with it. Took the steak from the freezer and have it thawing. Texted DS that I will make him a meal to pick up on his way home (or he can eat it here but with the weather he may be anxious to get home).

I tossed a load in the washer. Will hang it to dry. That is probably all I will do for chores today. I'm not feeling it today lol
