I sure hear ya @cath007 about truing to pm when stores don't carry the item in the size or way you need it to in order to do the pm. We came back home with NO new berries because of that on Saturday. Also, why are raspberries so darn expensive right now?

What a beautiful day!
Have my chicken in the oven. I had eggs and toast this morning and wanted to wait till dinner to eat. Now I am starving.
Think I will make the fresh asparagus I bought yesterday to go with dinner. Yum!
Since I work from home all week I am just going to plan the meals as I go with the main focus to use stuff up that has been kicking around.
DS made tons of pasta yesterday so I will make him a nice pasta bake for dinner tomorrow night.
Washed the dishes as I cooked so the kitchen will take 2 mins to clean up after we eat.
Then it is a Netflix and chill kinda night!
Have a great night!

Went to SDM for the 1st time in ages as I had an offer for eggs @ 2.79. Sad that we now consider this a deal. Picked up a few groceries at No Frills. Mostly the offers I had on my card as those I can’t pm to RCSS. It actually sucks that so many of my offers are No Frills only as they are not convenient for me. Season 11 of Call the midwives came in from the library so I will be on my clinch for the foreseeable future.

Happy Monday Everyone,
Not the start to the morning I wanted, yesterday I sat down and wrote my work to-do list and it is a little overwhelming, especially considering, I only have today to get it done as I spend the rest of the week in training. So my plan was to get up at 5 am and get my day started, but my body has other plans. I woke up at 6:50, still in time for work but lost two hours. But I will not let this deter me, I am going to focus and see what I can get done.
Today is laundry day, I like to do laundry on work-from-home days because it forces me to get up and move around. Especially with my current projects, they are all computer heavy so I find when I get in the zone, I can sit here for hours which is great for work, but not so good for my body. So doing laundry forces me to get up and switch loads and I am always motivated to get it done and out of the way, I hate it when I am trying to make dinner and finish the laundry.
Yesterday was a good day, I got the bathroom cleaned expect the floor (hoping to get this done today but we shall see), the Kitchen was cleaned including a couple of cupboards I noticed had stuff on them, finished all of my prep expect my whipped greek yogurt, took out the garbage. Well, I did this Mom cut up the package of Chicken Breasts I bought at Costco and they are in the freezer. Really feel like we are in a good place for the week.
Dinner last night ended up being Perogies Bake with a Salad, it was good. Now tonight, I am not sure, will see what Mom is thinking when she gets up.
Happy Monday2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
follow along as tackle day to day life and whatever else 2021 throws at me:

Good Morning!
Had my coffee and eggs and toast for breakfast.
On my break I will clean the kitchen.
Dinner will be a fridge clean out- Pasta/chicken/ fresh asparagus to use up. Think I will make a pasta bake.
The laundry I hung to dry Saturday will be put away today. Have a basket of folded towels to put away.
Have a wonderful day!

^^^ @coupon girl for the win on the coupon! Stand your ground. ha ha. It has been a lazy day ( again ) for me. Nothing has come to mind yet wrt a new recipe or meal to make.
I want to bake something using a few pkgs of both frozen puff pastry and Phyllo that I've had for a while. Maybe I'll just go to Google and see what pops up!?

Good Morning! Sunny day here today.
I really am anxious to clean out the garage! We are having a huge garage sale and all the stuff has to go! We will have so many plastic bins after to organize a bit and then sell the leftovers (found most of them for free at the curbside of a house clean out )
We keep our fancy new BBQ in the garage so will be nice when all the junk is gone. Nice to be able to bbq still when it is raining/crappy out!
Well DS loved the pasta bake I made yesterday. I was able to use up tons of open bags/packages of cheese and added the chicken and bacon crumble to it. He ate it all!
We went for a drive and had a free dinner at the casino last night and brought DS back a bacon burger and ceaser salad. Working from home I feel the need to get out of the house!
Tonight I need to drop some fruit off to my oldest DS (he has been sick the last few days) I am bringing him a 4lb bag of the awesome clementines from No Frills. I picked him up a bag this morning after I dropped DS off at school.
The fridge needs a clean out to see what needs to be used up. Have done well on groceries. Sometimes keeping it simple is good and nothing gets wasted.
Eggs and rye toast for breakfast today!Last edited by Frugalbigmama; Tue, Mar 7th, 2023 at 09:45 AM.

I am pleased we've had 4 sunny days. Friday-sibling took my precious yard bags to the transfer station (no curbside pickup glory for me today). I did the shovelling of walks on Friday night twice. Sat am-I balked at doing anything. Mom shovelled. Bro finally took out the blower to clear up rest of driveway (think it was because two other neighbours were out clearing snow) as it was slushy. Roof dropped snow in fast sheets in the sunshine. Mom got two bags of food for food drive and volunteer came to collect. So with snow on the ground still into yesterday, I had no raking opportunity. I did spend 15min today collecting fallen branches (most of snow has a frozen crust-cool!) for a new yard bag after I had to collect the green cart and trash can when the crew swung by around 8:30am (they must be clock-shifting in prep for DST next week).
Sunday-did a Shoppers visit for pop and other things. MOnday-Internetting for 3 hours, small Fortinos shop (Chapstick 2pks were nowhere in the oral care aisle (but the sale Nivea lip balms were there)-the spin rack of sales items was in the baby product aisle) + Mom's long distance calling cards. Glad I got it all on the way to library since I walked home around closing time and sidewalks were mostly clear (a tiny bit of cane parkour but I managed).
Today I am keen to figure out my transit $ plans for trip to Misissauga's Nordstrom Rack and Sherway Gardens' Nordstrom (MiWay transit runs to both areas so SCORE) on Thursday. I want to see if I can score summer slip-ons or a camisole in my size at about $30 before taxes each. If not, Jollibee will win major pie business from me after I visit the Rack (definitely checking out baby apparel but none must be purchased!). Also want to see Loblaws for Joe Fresh and coupons (have to walk to other side of Heartland but got to do it to get what I need). Today's temp/wind is similiar to what the next two days will experience, so I walked and I managed in town. Friday-I will not risk a trip as I expect many kids will be eager to start March Break as soon as last bell rings and I won't be on the buses that day (plus snow forecast is anticipated). I am assuming Mississauga has cleared sidewalks or I will be parkouring my way around any icy obstacles or chunks of snow."This is the Way." The Mandalorian

Went to Longos last Thursday-chain no longer offers print flyers>digital only online (or on phones if you have data). Did get Spring issue of the Experience magazine. The Easter meal kits are on sale now by phone or at the Customer SErvice desk (price rises by March 19). Online kit sales start on March 14.
Longos now carries 375g pkg of beef bacon at $12.99! *update-current flyer that is good to March 15-that bacon is $9.99 for now.
Managed to get a Fred's Farm Fife loaf 30% off on the reduced price rack! SCORE. Usually $5.99 but it was $4.19. Also reduced price cranberry pumpkin seed load! Second Score. Glad I checked the rack-missed looking at pop deals.Last edited by Ciel21; Tue, Mar 7th, 2023 at 01:46 PM.
