Ceil, nice deal on the loafs i bought a cinnamon loaf (farmers market brand) yesterday at no frills for $4.00.nice to have on hand in freezer for unexpected visits .My brother-in -law and his wife drop in and i like to have a small dessert.
If it lasts i just had a piece with a cup of tea.
I think today ,we will stop into rexall as their seniors day is today and you get 500 bewell pts for every dollar of M&M frozen items (had to be loaded)
Then hubby and i will use up our swiss chalet gift card ,i think i have 30-35.00 left on it.
Doing laundry and finishing my black and white puzzle.

Good morning all.
Not much going on here. Yesterday went to Natures Fare to stock up on some PB cream cheese at 50% of the registers prices I’ve seen and still $2 less than the regular “sale” prices I’ve seen. With that and the taco stuffer I bought (on sale and the company is out of business) I saved $30.02 and spent $42 and change.
Today I stopped by SOF for $1.49 grapes, 4X cucumbers @2/1.49 so less than 75C each makes me happy., WF chips for $1.49( only bought 2) and hemp hearts on sale for $17.99 regularly $19.99, green onions for 99C each X4. When it was all said and done I spent $45 and change and saved just under $27. I’m happy. Also received 546 SOF points.
Prepping for the work week ahead so that means laundry( like always) and maybe some basic cleaning like a quick vacuum. Hoping to get outside today while we have a bit more sunshine. Also need to fit in a workout soon.

Just whipped up a homemade pasta sauce and pasta for DS. I will take it out to him soon so he just has to heat and eat. (he told me he would appreciate an easy to eat meal) I could have made more if I had a heads up but at least it is something I know he likes.
Thursday I will make him a homemade mac and cheese (I just need to pick up cheese for it)
Can't wait to get out in that sunshine! I had to pop out quick earlier but I want to go for a hike!

@coupon girl Glad you mentioned Senior's Day. It's the same for The Bay today as it's the first Tuesday of March (in-store and online). I asked Mom to venture into the Bay and some other stores at the mall in case she finds something new for spring. No flyer applies to the Bay-I checked the website.

I bought 3 of these 4 gram containers from amazon . Yellow ( looks golden when mixed in the drink ) , blue and light purple. The plan is to serve our guests surprise drinks at our Easter dinner coming up. When you add just a tiny bit of the powder to any alcohol ( preferably a clear one ) the shimmery swirly effects are lovely to look at. Plus they stay that way, the effect does not go away.
I was so impressed by the list on the product....Non GMO, Vegan, 100% edible, FDA Compliant , Dairy, Gluten and Nut free.
We tried the 2 of the colours today each in an ounce of white rum, the 3rd in a light colour bourbon. All worked great, so then we added 2 ounces of Bubly to each glass see if it ruined the effects...nope! It stayed. We're thinking white wine will be the easiest alcohol to serve this with....should be FUN at Easter! The prices of these wee containers shocked me though

Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday got flipped all over on me. I was supposed to be in a branch to work with 2 different staff members, my plan was to get up at 5 so I could get in 2 hours of work before I left. Nope, I slept in till 6:30 so just had to get up and head out. 1 of the 2 staff members cancelled on me which was fine just meant I would get home earlier to work on my own stuff.
Then another branch called asking for help so on my way home (not really, I literally drive by my house to go to the other branch) I went there which turned into me not getting home until after 3 pm so my day was kind of shot. But I still had over 100 emails to look at and a bunch of stuff for the upgrade was sent so I worked until I went to bed.
Today, I will spend most of my day in training sessions for the upgrade. Should be interesting.
I did look at a few of the upcoming flyers and it does look like there might be a few deals to be had. I will aim to write my grocery list so I can figure out what stores I need to go to and what I can price match.
I did manage yesterday to get the hand dishes done well I made dinner. Although work is insane right now I am trying to keep on top of the house stuff. I really need to get a few things done today.
Last night I made a Taco Pie using some Salsa Chicken from the freezer, tonight's dinner, I am not sure. Thinking maybe a Pork Tenderloin. I can roast off some Carrots, Onions & Potatoes and then top with the Pork Tenderloin and continue baking, a simple one-dish meal. Maybe, we will see how I feel a bit later.

Happy Hump Day! We have sunshine!!
Woke up to a text reminding me about my massage this afternoon. I kind of forgot about it so it was a nice surprise.
Then my brother in law called me at 8am to discuss dinner Saturday night. We are going to see the Northern Pikes/54-40 so decided where to meet for dinner.
DS works tonight so I may do some running around after I drop him off at work. Think laundry will have to wait till tomorrow.
The kitchen is a mess. DS had the leftover pasta that I made his brother yesterday which I'm glad it is gone and out of the fridge but he sure made a mess!

Good day my friends! Figured that my cat was smarter than me soaking up the sun so now I'm following suit. Much nicer out today at least windchill wise, however still enough wind for others blue boxes to empty down the road(when will people learn how to pack them?)That said, why do I stack my yogurt containers according to flavour for the blue box?-Yeah I do.
I saw in today's news that the major grocery store chains CEO are in Ottawa today to explain why prices have risen so much more than inflation.I'm sure they will have some convoluted answers and will say it all with a straight face.
My biggest deal lately was to do what many of you do and that is use up what you already have on hand.
Blessings to you and yours!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

I am kind of confused, as I saw an article where Galen Weston said they received over 1000 increase notices in January and prices will just continue to rise.
But as I was shopping at Costco, I noticed some of Costco's prices have actually gone down. Not on eggs, dairy, oil, chicken but other products. I happen to be talking to a co-worker who used to work for Costco and they confirmed as they still have contacts at Costco, that yes, on some products prices are going down.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Lunch was ceaser salad with chicken. Had a bag of chicken strips with a few left in it in the freezer that I tossed in the air fryer.
Chopped up some romaine, added parm cheese, a bit bacon crumble and ceaser dressing. Topped with the chicken. Yum!
Now getting though a pile of work. Sun is calling my name outside!
