    Good Morning Everyone,
Slower start to the morning today.

Enjoying a cup of tea, watching the Fosters, and edited a video. Last week I let work take over a bit, nothing too insane but I see that slide coming so I am focusing on the balance. Yes, I have to do my job and yes there is a lot on my plate right now, even more now that I spoke with our Regional Manager who put a few more things on my plate. But the House and stuff for me needs to find its place as well. The good news is sometimes I can combine the two by recording my house stuff which leads to editing videos which is my me time.

Need to spend some time in the kitchen, think I am going to try out our new Waffle maker for Breakfast and I would like to do some baking. It has been a few weeks since I made something for desserts. But I did also buy some Monster Apples I plan to turn into Baked Apples. Think I will bake a tray off and then we just have to heat them up.

We decided to have Enchiladas for dinner last night and discovered I have a package of Mushrooms we need to use up. I plan to make Meatballs in Mushroom Gravy which will use up the Mushrooms and some of the Potatoes. Thinking I will make extra Masked Potatoes so they can be used in dinners later in the week. Trying my best to plan ahead to keep us on track.

    Happy Sunday

    Good Morning Everyone,
Oh shock of shocks, my day is not going as planned. I had planned to be up at 5 am to try to knock out all of the things, nope, when I woke up I could not function so I went back to bed and luckily when I woke up 7:30 was feeling much better. When I woke up at 5 am I seriously thought I might have to take a sick day. But now I am feeling very behind.

I had a super ambitious work day planned and I have not started any of what I need to get done as today has been one of those days. My email is full of issues I need to deal with before I get to originally scheduled porgramming for today.

Yesterday, I made waffles as planned to try out our new waffle iron. I have to admit I am impressed, one of the biggest issues I have seen with waffle iron is they do not cook evenly, what drew to me this was it seemed to have a higher voltage and they mentioned even heating. I have to say both the top and bottom cooked evenly. The only thing is they are a thinner waffle which is fine for us.

My plan was to take a shower and then do some more cleaning, nope. I decided I could not handle my hair anymore, it was about halfway down my back, living in a ponytail or bun because I felt like I just had too much hair. So, after my shower I have Mom chop it off to just above my shoulder. We cut off somewhere between 6" to 8", on my gosh my head feels so light now.

I did manager to clean out the fridge, take out the garbage, and well I was cooking dinner I emptied the Dishwasher so it was ready to reload after dinner.

Dinner last night was Meatballs in Mushroom Gravy over Mashed Potatoes. My plan was to make extra Mashed Potatoes so we had them for later in the week but do not think that is going to happen. When we mashed them it felt like they really mached down, plus there are leftovers of the Meatballs so pretty sure I will need to make more Mashed Potatoes.

Tonight's dinner is still a mystery. It feels like a Soup or Stew day, something that would simmer on the stove all day but nothing is jumping out at me.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

Yes, shorter hair feels lighter, @SassyAshley . You just reminded me that I still have not done the semi-annual fridge vac & clean as it's time. Since Bro is on afternoon shift, and the weather is warming up and raining too, the task has to get done regardless. I'll be popular for the wrong reasons if I wake up the others sleeping on the designated morning.

Feel it's time to be baking again. I miss cookies and treats. Have bananas-need chocolate chips to make @Angela273 's cookie recipe.

So, yesterday I got the needed yard waste bags, a birthday card (then found the Xmas cards at Winners and just had to buy a box to write up for mid-November mailing; I need a stamp deal), photo prints at Walmart along with 2 of the 3 household items I had on my list. AND I managed to spot 2 Monopoly pieces on a discarded large fry package on my second walk along one road-Yay-I have one piece for that $25000 prize (likely never to materialize in time before the contest ends) and a repeat of Halifax airport.

I noticed that about half of the toys I'm interested in seeing at the store at Mastermind Toys either sold out at the local store or is completely out of stock at all stores AND online. Given that there is a seaway worker strike that began today, don't leave any desired must have toy to chance for purchase-plan now and keep your cards or cash warmed up! I will give Toys R Us another look since spring to see what Xmas toys are in stock plus anything new in the Baby section (looking only). Then Hudson Bay and H&M (plus a quick scoot over to Fortinos for a peek at Fall Joe Fresh and to get chocolate chips) will wrap up my trip at the mall (and maybe something from Taco Bell because I love it).

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Life’s been up and down lately but I did get some deals.

I did a shop last week at
RCSS $34.76- 30,000 OP - $4.76 on the GC we had from the Telus promo. $0 OOP

    NF $27.27- 20,000 OP - $7.27 on the GC. $0 OOP

    Today at RCSS
    $31.13- 30,000 OP - $1.13 on GC . $0 OOP
Today’s trip used a Silk creamer FPC and $4.00 in other coupons. $9.49 in coupons.

We are completely stocked up and won’t need to shop until next flyer if that.

Off to make a big batch of split pea and lentil soup for my mom and dad then off to physio.

Nice deals using your points harbie .

Popped over to library to get a photo copy, then to shoppers to mail it -didnt buy a thing in shoppers.

Then over to rooms and spaces to check this new place out -very expensive for my tastes.Mind you they do have a small toy section with a few sales ,then everything else in the store was bogo on til tuesday.

So i got 2 micro fibre pillows for my upstairs (one for hubby one for the spare room)29.99 each but due to bogo i paid 15.00 each not bad they are really comfy too.

Supper was leftover pizza for hubby and a bagel with ham and coleslaw for me.

I had one of my high offer Air Miles pay out, I am never convinced they will work but the three AM part in 3 days offer from about a month ago was rewarded so that was an easy 300 miles. For a program that was on death’s door a while back, it’s become a favourite again.
I had a meeting at the office today and since several of my favourite work friends were also onsite we went to dinner after. But it makes for such a long day so I am already in my pjs.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Up early and could not get back to sleep so up at 5 am to get started on my work and wash my bedding. Will see if Mom wants hers done when she gets up.

I am slowly trying to find my routines again.

Yesterday was not my best day, I slept in and I thought that was what it was but then as the day went on I started to get a pounding headache and it just kept getting worse and worse. Even after taking something it wasn't letting up, finally around 6:30, it let up. But I struggled through my work day and got pretty much nothing done around the house except making dinner.

The only thing with getting up early is how late the sun comes up now. It is not helping me get my sleep patterns back on track. The getting dark earlier isn't affecting me as much.

To be honest, I feel like I am struggling a bit mentally. I am just not feeling my best, so I decided to give myself a little bit of grace and make today another work-from-home day. So I can refocus and regroup on some work things and see what I can get done around the house. I just feel like I need to get refocused, regroup and just try to get focused. I have been feeling better the last few days, less overwhelmed, more I got this but I just feel like I am on that slippery slope and could go either way. So I am putting myself first which is hard for me because I feel like I am letting other people down.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone

It's good to hear that your taking some time for yourself and putting yourself first. I totally hear you re that slippery slope, I think a few of us have felt that way with the shorter days and colder weather coming. Have a wonderful day and hope you take time to enjoy a nice cup of tea for an afternoon break.

    Good morning

Well I'm just about to enjoy my 2nd cup of coffee. I took my pup out for a short walk this morning. Not nearly as far as I normally go but I've been dealing with really bad arthritis in one ankle (very old injury..I think it's arthritis) for about an hour when I first wake up so I limp until it "wakes up". I'm going to have to clean out my drawers and find my ankle brace. Hopefully I can find more donations for the Diabetes pick up. I have a box out on the porch for a pick up today.

I've been on a mission to get some fall cleaning done the past couple of days. I've cleaned windows, screens which looked great until the sun streamed in the window yesterday lol. At least I know they're cleaner.
I had a uke group here yesterday so I vacuumed and washed the floor. Having a group come bi weekly really helps push me to keep the house clean.

I'm hoping to get a bit more organizing and cleaning done this morning.

This afternoon, I'm going out with a friend to pick up bags from the CDC Food Box program. The produce bags cost $10 and the fruit bags are $5. We pick them up for a few neighbours on a monthly basis. It's always fun trying to figure out recipes to use everything. One of the most exciting things I discovered last winter was making marmalade from scratch with 3 oranges and a lemon. It was SO COOL

    Have a good morning everyone!

Highlight of the day was making chocolate chip muffins and having them turn out well! It's been awhile since I've done them but starting to find my groove again.
The fall season always seems to bring out more effort in making homemade stuff and I still swear by leftovers that sometimes they're better than the first time around!
Enjoy the rest of your day my friends!

    @crafter , thank you.

I did not get all of the things done today but I did knock out quite a few things.

Bedding for both Beds is done, Mom is just putting the Pillow Covers on as I type this, and my Bed is made.

The couch blankets were washed, I was hesitant because I was curled up in my blanket drinking tea and updating training plans and didn't want to give up my blanket for washing. But, I did because when else am I going to wash them, I was on a roll.

I do still need to wash the Microfibre cloths but I was done going up and down the stairs. I got a later start on Mom's bedding, she hasn't been sleeping well so I did not want to wake her. Worse comes to worse I will toss them in on the weekend.

I vacuumed the couch and the living room, it needed it.

I did not get any work done on the bathroom, I need to finish the closet so I can complete the Hallway Deep clean. There are a lot of things that should be in the Bathroom closet living in the hallway.

Work was okay, I did not get as much done as I wanted. I was struggling to get things on paper. But tomorrow is another day and there is still TONS of updating to do.

Still questioning why the world stopping for a week well I try to catch up would be a bad thing. Just one week with nothing new is all I want.

We took our Chicken for Dinner but were not feeling Potatoes which was going to be the side so instead I made Baked Cheese Tortellini with Caesar salad and Garlic Bread. We will have the Chicken tomorrow.
