Well plans change we were asked to watch the girls tuesday til friday this week 4 days til 3.30 p.m everyday ,my son called me from work .If he does this switch for them he gets an extra 12 days holidays next year .So i will do that for my son .I will have hubby helping me ,if i need to get groceries i will do that also maybe take one child with me.

Slept great last night with onions by my bed on a plate (saw this on tic tok last year i swear it helps congestion ) plus a few tablespoons of onion water a day.

We will treat ourselves to take out later today .

@coupon girl My Mom always made herself a " garlic necklace" ( I think she called it a poultice ) and of course we kids always laughed at her for doing this.
Her colds and chest congestions never lasted long, she also ate raw garlic sliced up in white bread. I hope the bed onions work well for you too!

Sobeys has a lot of meat with discount stickers on it this morning. Our freezer had limited room, so this is what I bought.
3x $1.60/lb lean pork loin centre & rib
    2x $1.40/lb chicken drumsticks trays
    3x $1.30/lb whole chicken
5x $2.80 honey ham 175g, best by Jan 9 (for school and work lunches)
1x $10 lasagne (for an easy lunch after Dh and I processed the pork loins)

    edit:
The pork loins had $10 off stickers on them, so I bought the 3 smallest ones.
Each whole chicken had a $5 off sticker on it.
The large chicken drumsticks had a $5 sticker, the medium sized tray had a $3 off sticker.
I used the $5 off wub $40 scannable coupon.

woo hoo to @coupon girl and @Angela273 Nice savings for 2023. I should keep a tally as well, but with my brain taking unscheduled vacations, the final number may not be accurate.

I think we did quite well. I’ve kept track of these totals since 2019.

Some trends are easy to find, while others are not. Some years I have considerably more in contest wins. I sell a lot more when I’m not teaching full time. Some years I earn a lot more than others through Swagbucks. I haven’t completed a survey on Swagbucks in a couple of years…too frustrating and ultimately not worth my time. I used to have a years lot more garden veggies to sell from my garden before we moved to our larger house. While I’ve been teaching out of town I’m unable to do the 10% off Tuesday at Sobeys in a regular basis.

It looks like Sephora has Clinique DDL or DDG for 1/2 price on Jan 7th. Not sure what the Rakuten percentage is. But you got the best deal with a gift with purchase!

I started checking the ingredients to see if something might have changed. I compared the ingredient list with one from 2023 and saw some differences. I have posted an image. The smaller box on the left is 2022 and the larger box on the right is 2023.

2022 had "Malted barley flour" and less sugar than the 2023 box. I wonder if anyone else has notice a change in taste for Ritz? With all the talk about skimpflation, did they change to barley and then change back? Anyone else have an older box for comparison?

@HermanH while I don't have a box to compare, I do know that companies in order to save costs, as replacing for cheaper ingredients without telling customers. I used to think it was me, but like you, I started comparing packages. This apparently is happening often now. Sorry to hear that your crackers have changed.

Thanks for the notice of prices creeping up. Annual and semi-annual tradition. Guess we have moved on from the $7 per head of cauliflower discussions of years past!

For Optimum points, it's gotten really bad for offer and points. And, we got $2.99 eggs this week, but looks like lots of others did too--> on day #2 of this offer, there were no large dozen eggs at all. Left the store buying nothing.
Have not seen $2.99 eggs in the flyers of late. Good for you if you are getting those prices or offers!
