Unexpected wonderful supper yesterday. Had bought a fresh 1/2 pork loin, but I wasn't feeling well, so not really up to cutting it all up. Asked my husband to do it - and he asked if it were 'okay' if he made schnitzel...... well, of COURSE it was fine! Don't usually have him cook during the week, because he works at a very physical job... but he couldn't resist nice fresh meat!

So, wow, a huge treat for us - and it tasted amazing as usual!

    I heart my husband!
That's so nice when you unexpectantly don't have to cook. My fiancé is taking dinner duty tonight and it is a surprise - never know if I should be excited or worried.

Tonights dinner will consist of homemade chicken fingers with diced red potatoes and homemade gravy with a side salad. It sounds very unhealthy but thed chicken is actually baked not fried. My kids have been asking me to make this for weeks, since it's family movie night I figured it was a good day to do it.

Tonight's supper is going to be good. Got some crab meat and portabella mushrooms that will be the filling for ravioli. I use wonton wrappers (refrigerated in the produce section), and seal them shut with egg whites. They never open in the water, and the dough is thin and soft, never doughy or tough. Won ton wrappers also work great for perogies.

Schnitzel!!! You've got an awesome husband!!!
& I don't really have to worry about Tank snatching food away, lol.
She's not all that interested in raw meats, except for maybe beef juice.
Loves cooked chicken though! Oh and if we leave the butter uncovered, she's all over it. So bad!

Had ribs & greek salad last night, probably left overs tonight
I've caught my nephews cold (as always) so I may just make soup. Still undecided.
