I'm midway to having a productive day. Trouble being, it's currently all in my mind as my left knee is still painfully inflamed.
My accurate weather indicator limb decided to alert me to the forecast yesterday morning. Last night was truly agonizing.
My right knee ( the bionic one ) had to do all the heavy lifting as I navigated stairs, bathroom trips and a few kitchen visits.
This kind of sucks, Happy Canada Day long weekend all!

you guys!! I FEEL the love. Thanks so much. I feel less sorry for myself atm as the knee is starting to bend a bit now.
Only a matter of time before I'll be skipping around the house......tee hee.
Today I might get DS to hang up the Canada Day decor out front. I've saved these flags and other items that I bought
    at Dollarama 3 years ago.
Carefully store them away each year....ha ha such a cheapskate.

    @lizzie bargain.

Leila is was in her late 40 years old (I think not 100% sure) or maybe in her early 50 years old...

Her birthday is was in January just like me.

According to her first profile she is was a member of Smart Canucks community since July 2009....

So a since a long time a SC member.

    Definetely too young...

Her father is dead but I think she is was living at a house with her brother and mother.

She was mentionning them a few times in SC.

Remaining in the last few years last time it was maybe 2 years ago @Ciel21 sended me coupons and letters.

I had kept the letters and the envie.

    And her adress was there.

    .

She live or lived in Ancaster,Ontario.

I hope that will helps you if you want to search an obituary.

If this is the case RIP my dear friend Leila aka Ciel.

    @SassyAshley:

Those are the posts you where talking about hospice .
    May 07

@cath007 You were generous to update relatives about your father's health and your viewpoint on the situation. Brace yourself for either someone wanting more of your time to provide updates (no, you do not need extra stress) or lack of offers to sit with Dad for two hours and talk with him while you go out. Remember the rule in air flights: make sure you have your own oxygen mask on before you help someone else.
Meaning: take care of yourself first. Make sure your cellphone plan is in your own name and that your phone will still work when the 3G network is shutdown this summer. Find out the cost of 1 bedroom apartments in your building, region or bigger cities. See if there are any cooperative apartment buildings that offer a studio or 1 bedroom apartment you could afford from your funds(I assume that your funds are in cash or easily converted to cash should you need it). Prepare for Eve the cat's future. Take bus trip for day to Montreal or outer boroughs now to assess resources and apartments and maybe reach out to past schoolmates for any accommodation (see what has few stairs to climb, is close to places to shop/visit doctor, get job or training opportunities) leads. Assess what belongings you will take with you when you find a new place or have to move after Dad dies.
The point is to not be overwhelmed if Dad's health worsens or if he passes away, therefore plan for you right now. You do not want to be stuck without phone if current tv/internet/phone billing is in his name and provider makes cancellation hard when Dad is too sick to do it or he passes away. Would you be able to afford Internet on own or would you want to live near a library with Internet?
Be the change you want to see. My phone service is paid until mid-July but I cannot renew it now without going without something if I spend the funds this month. My phone does not have voLTE ability (voicemail is 3G on Freedom)but the phone number is needed for two email accounts, Google Play store access and certain loyalty accounts so I have reason to keep phone number. Also it is handy to have separate phone provider from Internet provider during hydro or Internet issues, as I have experienced several such occurrences since last July. The idea is that Mom will have the phone after I pass.
My health is worsening and if I want my passing to happen in hospice, I have to plan this passage soon as I have been avoiding it for two months. Whatever concerns (lots) I have about hospice will be overruled by main desire to die in hospice-that is all I can control.

    May 12:

Appreciate all the thoughts by members! No way do I want to be in hospital when it is my time to go-I would not do well in a hallway with need to change my gauze pads every 3-4 hours, etc.

I believe Ciel was in her 50's. I did not find an obituary so perhaps she is in hospice. Of course some people do not post an obituary. Hopefully she is at peace and not in pain.

I took my TO sis to the mountains yesterday. She was very happy to see a deer, a bear and a herd of mountain sheep and horses. Beautiful scenery and the prettiest rainbow too. Starting tonight I will be picking up various relatives arriving over the next 3 days for my Mum's memorial on July 2. DD is coming for a few days too. Busy times ahead.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday afternoon we cleaned out the kitchen freezer, it was actually a lot easier than I expected, I think we had it done in about 30 minutes minus needed to repackage a few things and take some stuff downstairs.

I will admit I find our Kitchen Freezer a bit of an annoyance well not the freezer but the stuff in it. Just like the Stand-Up freezer there are quite a things in there that we have frozen and just seem to live in our freezer so it always limits what we can do with the freezer. There are two bins that are what they are but I guess as they say pick your battles. But I was able to go a lot with the pull out basket so I am happy.

This morning, I have cleaned the bathroom with the exception of the floor. When I was cleaning the bathroom originally I thought this is great I haven't gotten the floor wet I can clean it right away. Then I cleaned the Bathtub and soaked the bathrooms so I am waiting for the floor to dry.

I was happy to get the bathroom done before the heat rolls in again. Since we use portable AC units tha Bathroom is one area they do not cool.

I am trying to get better at just getting up and getting things done vs putting them off. I was watching a reel on Instagram and the said "5 minutes of cleaning is always more productive than 20 minutes of thinking about." I admit that is where I struggle at times, I get so caught up in my head trying to figure out what will have the biggest impact, what order should I do things that I tend to become overwhelmed and do nothing.

Now as much as I don't want to do certain things I force myself to get up and do it. Did I want to do the kitchen freezer yesterday, nope but got it done. Did I want to clean the bathroom this morning, nope but I got it done so I am trying to remind myself that even doing these small things will lead to bigger tasks getting done.

There are so many things in this house that are out of my control, but if I focus on the things I can do tackle and not focus on the road blocks (which is my natural tendency, it is the same with I can accomplish 4 things on my to-do list but that 1 thing I don't get done is all I focus on) maybe I can finally move some things forward.

I am trying, will it work, who knows, but I am trying.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.

So I got to treat myself yesterday at SDM. I’ve found a line that final helps with my old lady skin (aka perimenopause) but it’s $$$$$. Since I’m having what they call a milestone birthday on Tuesday (I call it a depressing one) Dh treated me. With the points offer I got 74,725.

Not much spending going on around here now . Have a great long weekend everyone
