Good afternoon. Today was an unexpected day off as my client is sick. It actually works out as the insurance company is sending the car settlement via registered mail and it’s supposed to arrive today so that works out.
Works been crazy which is good…. Gotta pay for the car now
.
My only real deals have been PC coffee 2 for $40. Used $40 in of points and earned $10 back
Also received 49,940 for the car insurances, and another 50,000 for the car down payment so it’s not all bad. I only wish the dealership would have allowed a larger CC down payment. Oh well I’m happy with what we got.
At least we can get groceries with the crazy price of fuel now
.
I prepped for work tomorrow and did some light tidying and made snickers dupes using dates, peanut butter and chocolate. Mmmmmmm I’m wanting to inhale them all now!
Still waiting for the cheque… it better arrive soon, I have errands to run.
Have a great day everyone.

Recovered 36x sandwiches, cheeseburgers, and wraps from my Shell station along with 4x Hershey chocolate bars and 2x bags of potato chips. Just handed the stuff away to folks along the street. Amazing number out in the falling snow.

Also found a roll of duct tape in the middle of the road. Still useful.
Oh, a funny thing happened as I walked home. I had bags of food draped over me and stopped at a light. A car pulled up and the window rolled down. The driver was offering me spare change. I guess he thought I was one of the bums normally on the corner. I thanked him for his kind offer, but respectfully declined. I guess I have to dress better in the future.

TGIF!
Buses canceled all around! I know it is because of the pending weather this afternoon but it seems to always happen the Friday before March break Some schools have a PA day today. They should just do that always since people end up leaving early to get away (I know when we went on a cruise 2 years ago we had to take my niece and her friend out of school a day early)
I really hope tomorrow is clear as the weather app had said it would be....Have a day out and about planned!
I went out after work yesterday to pick up a few things. At RCSS they had chicken drumsticks on clearance so I picked up 3 packages priced under $4 each.
Picked up a bunch of cereal on sale (DS requested) Milk 4L on for $5.19 ( I am not paying $6.44 or whatever the new price is)
Olive oil for $8 (in glass jar!) Not a need but it has a long expiry date and I wanted to keep us a little stocked up since the prices are crazy.
Someone has gone through our gravy stash... so was going to grab more packets (I know I should make it myself but I like the mushroom one)but the cans are on at WM for .76 (cheaper then the packets) so bought 6 and then 2 more at NF (.79 I should have pm'd) when redeeming I needed to hit the point redeeming mark. I do want to pick up a pineapple (may have to PM somewhere- the ones at my RCSS were old and too ripe) but that is about it for grocery shopping this week.
Dinner tonight will be the steak from last night. All the sides I made yesterday were eaten but we didn't get around to cooking the steak. Also cooking up a package of the drumsticks (other 2 packs were put in the freezer)
Off to get this work day out of the way and then to enjoy the weekend! Stayed close to home last weekend so itching to get out of town hopefully tomorrow! Appreciate the full gas tank but have to have some fun too!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Good Morning Everyone,
So happy it is Friday, I really need this weekend.
All of a sudden my body has decided it is fun to wake up at random times during the night and not be able to fall back asleep. Hoping this weekend with no alarms set, my body will reset a little.
Last night Mom ended up ordering pizza, something I thought wouldn't take long took me hours and then I had a few other things I had promised to get out yesterday so I ended up working late. I really need to get dinners back on track. I am still struggling with food just being meh, no cravings, no wants just "oh dinner again?"
Hopefully I can plan a good prep for the weekend and it will help us to get back on track.
They keep pushing the snow back, not complaining but now it looks like the snow will go into tomorrow morning.
I know it is only March and there is no way winter is over but it has been nice to not shovel, not clean off the car and not worry about how the roads will be.
Guess we will see where this day takes me, I have two work projects to tackle.
Happy Friday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

@cath007 pm'd you
I was super lucky that I went out at 8:30 a.m. to do a couple of quick errands.
Pharmacy pick up and a NF shop. Back home before the snow started!
It's blowing around and falling in a substantial way. This won't melt when it
hits the ground, so no putting the shovels away just yet.
Sad that DH was forced to book 2 weeks of his precious vacation time NOW
all because his back refuses to get better! We only realized it's March break!
Back over 30 years ago he was the employee begging to get that week off, and
it not always granted.
When the kids all grew up and moved on he never took that week ( even though
he was #1 on the seniority pick ) because there were many young Dads who needed
that week. He remembered what he went through.
Not sure if those employees not getting March Break off now will understand that this
was not to block them....it's his back! Wait till they get old....lol.
