It just started out with ONE tiny insignificant thing that irked me, and then the whole world came crashing down at that exact moment and I couldn't stop crying for an hour. I was bringing up the kitchen sink with myself, all the things I've been holding back just came to my surface, things I didn't even realize were upsetting me. And I just sat there, unable to get out of it. I have a list of things I think about to get me out of a funk (my dog, a good memory, a funny joke, etc) but nothing was working. It made me realize how helpless I am to this stupid sickness.
Awe, ((((hugs)))) I also hold alot in until I have a blow and its so disappointing when I loose it. Financial stress is definately a big factor as well as other triggers which I try to let slide but sometimes I am just a babbling idiot and Skippy is right we are are own worse critic so don't dwell on things hopefully you are feeling more in the groove today. Take care.

I now only realised that I did not take my med.today, which explains a lot.
Had you not posted I would have suffered more.

Good luck Skippy. I don't feel like continuing taking mine as they give me migraines.

Did anything happen? You need to do stuff to make you happy and take your mind off of things. I suffer from bouts of depression, mine is due to being ill and having my huge family so close with so many problems. Stress is my enemy. I go on the computer, watch stand up comedy, whatever I can to make me happy. My dog is a big anchor for me, she always makes me happy and takes my mind off things. Just her love and companionship is really warm and helps me when I'm really blue. The doctor perscribed me anti anxiety pills but I do not take them. I put on my ipod, with the loudest, dirtiest, metal I can find and go for a power walk which helps with the anxiety, since I hate going out. I'm a hermit lol

Is there anything we can help you with gryphon to cheer you up or take your mind off the darkness?

    Maybe your meds.need adjusting.
DW tells me to count each blessing that I have.
    Long walks also help me.

You had the unveiling of the gravestone. That"s enough to throw anyone off.

Also, a change to the routine (your brother's visit) can throw things off.

My friend who is dealing with depression says she's having a rough time these days. She normally feels it in late Sept, but because we've gone from +40C temps to a more temperate +25 these days, her body's feeling it.

Her solution (in addition to medication) is exercise & routine. She finds if her routine is thrown off for more than one day, it hits her hard.

    Hopefully, you'll feel better soon.
