My Dr. told me the changing of the seasons can be a really bad time for those who struggle with depression.
I hope and pray that we can all find some relief from this disease.
I'm going to try some other meds.
May we all know much grace, peace, comfort and strength.
May we also encourage oneanother, for it is good to know, one is not alone.Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

that can be a hard routine to set, especially if we're not always in the best frame of mind. that's a great tried & true idea of andit's above. my pup expects her treats like clockwork so I can imagine this working the more and more I begin to associate the two.
there's a few good ideas I recently read about... putting your meds near something you do daily, such as your toothbrush. setting a watch alarm to go off until you're in the habit of taking them routinely. placing a written reminder in a visible place, in the kitchen or near the cpu.
you mentioned above these are new meds you're trying, skippy. really hope they're a fit for you and allow you to feel like yourself. wishing you well.

Maybe you should check this thread every day and then be reminded to take your meds as soon as you check it

I've personally given up. They weren't helping the way I was hoping. I just felt... nothing. And then it started to get worse. So I had to stop

Thanks guys for your ideas! I will have to see which one works.
I don't think my cat will be any help because he always wants a treat.
Unfortunately/Fortunately? I didn't get any new meds.
Its probably the changing of the season that is affecting me.Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Have you tried more than one type of med? When I was diabetic, I found that even the one-size-fits-all insulin didn't work the way it should for me.
Also, have you had your thyroid tested? The full panel, not the simple one. Some of the symptoms of depression are mimicked by thyroid issues & can make depression worse than it already is.

Ive been finding myself struggling more and more latley and its been causing other problems like insomnia. But very recently Ive started working out again, and doing intense workouts. I feel better and less tense afterwards, and as a side benefit, I am losing weight.

Good to know that we are not alone in this. God bless everyone. Paxil was not good for me, but Zoloft seems to be helping, although some days..... My friend is on Effexor and it helps make her more assertive she says.

One should not wean themselves off their meds.on their own. They should
listen to their Doctor-learning the hard way and paying for it!
