Today I am thankful for a good night's sleep. Only 19C outside right now - it's been a few days since it went below 20C overnight. The cool-off yesterday afternoon was a blessing as I finally feel a bit rested after a night's sleep - what a feeling!

Well I am most definitely NOT thankful for the speeding ticket I got today because it was my first ticket of any kind EVER in the 23 years since I first got my license.
But I am most thankful for the kind officer who lowered the charge from the original 28km over (WTH?? How'd THAT Happen?) to 10km over. Turns out my squeaky clean driving record offered me a buffer of mercy. The charge would've been $140 and 3 points off my license; instead, it's a $40 ticket and NO points off my license. Phew. Thank you Mr. Officer Sir!
Gheesh. And it could've been sooooo much worse than that. I was driving DH"s truck...dear forgetful DH...who FORGOT to get his new sticker for his license plate and technically since his birthday was 2 days ago, the police could've given me a ticket for THAT...but what's more, DH also forgot to put the current insurance slip in too...omg...like, I could've gotten a time-to-produce notification for the stupid insurance as well...which isn't a big deal because insurance is current, but it's a nuisance to have to drive that documentation to the other side of town, which is what I would've had to do.
To be honest, I was just thanking my lucky stars that I could even FIND the ownership and registration to begin with because his truck is such a pigsty, I am surprised I'm able to find the gas pedal in that mess...but apparently, finding the gas pedal isn't my concern after today. LOL
Ugh. I was really really really hoping to make it 25 years without an infraction. What a bummer."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Today I was thankful for the caramel apple I got at the fair, and for poutine for supper, and that chocolate bar I just had a few minutes ago. Making a P I G of myself, but hey, its not like I eat like this everyday, and I refuse to feel even a twinge of guilt about it!

I'm thankful that today, I can just rest. My right hand is swollen from the arthritis in it and am in a lot of pain today. I'm still in bed, not sure if thats a good thing or not, but I'm thankful to have a day to relax.
I am also most thankful for family and friends who understand the pain I deal with on a daily basis, and put up with me, and make me laugh when I'm grumpy.....I appreciate each and every one of them, and you!We all need a little sunshine every now and then

Thankful for the new green and yellow beans and peas and cucumbers that I picked from my little garden today. A nice big Beef Stew is brewing slowly on the stove as we speak.

Oh, Judstir, how wonderful! My absolute fave is fresh yellow beans!
I'm thankful for an understanding husband whom I can wake up in the middle of the night to tell him I cannot sleep - and he tenderly gets me to sleep.
