Thank you, Angel, FP, Sheets, Sunshine, Dan.......Yes, FP, we have a clinic very close by, but they'd have to send me for x-rays up the street, but I'm not sure when we'd get the results back. I'm not happy about this, and I've never, ever played hockey so I don't know why I'd have this bone-chip thingy if that's what it is. And this is my second day with it...worse today than yesterday..

Anyway, hubby and I chatted about our options, and I decided to call our dr's office this morning to get some direction from his secretary (ie: can he take me in, and failing that...where should I go in order to get results sooner rather than later)...phone lines open at 10am, so I'm going to limp to the livingroom and ask dear hubby for another cuppa and pout beautifully and wait to phone...and phone...and phone...because getting thru to that office can take an hour!!

Sorry for the whining (and this new keyboard is going back!)....I'm happy that you all are doing fine in spite of the dreariness...have a wonderful day, everyone!!

Years ago my mom's friend was walking home late from a concert and tripped on the sidewalk. She went down and felt a very sharp pain but didn't realize what exactly had happened as it was very dark out. She got up off the ground and walked the rest of the way home even though she was in lots of pain. When she got home she realized what happened: when she tripped she fell on some kind of spike in the sidewalk and the spike went right through her knee. makes me shudder every time to think about that lol.

Okay...so I'm back from the clinic (our doc not in today)...and apparently it's some sort of "calcification crystals" in the knee causing the pain... so I have a 'script for some meds and I'm to go back to see him Friday morning. I'm thinking if I'm fine by then I probably won't go back...I really detest clinics...there are sick people there, coughing, sneezing...and the WORST thing is...and it's never been done at that clinic before, but is now...is that the receptionist asks for your address, phone number and WHY you're there!! I know who has a bladder infection, who's there for birth control...omg!! So I passed her my health card and my driver's licence when I was called up, and said the phone number is also the same. I told her "knee pain" which is probably what I'd tell her no matter why I was there! Can you imagine??!!
Does your clinic ask people to divulge out loud their personal information like that?!!!

Anyhoodles...thank you all for your concern...I was so worried since we're off to NY in a couple of weeks, which will entail lots of walking (in Macy's)...thanks, everyone...I hope this med works!

Just had to turn down a job interview I don't have a vehicle right now until I can come up with the money to get a safety done on my car, which is gonna cost me a lot more than I thought it would. It was for the nursing home that I really wanted to get into, awesome pay, great benefits... gah, it hurt like heck to say no She said she would keep my resume on file though so hopefully they'll still be hiring when I get things taken care of.
