Nice quiet morning here. Dh took the kids to preschool and then off to do errands, so I get to chill in peace.

Resting up from last night. lol. We only took the kids about 6-7 blocks but it took well over an hour! Small little legs. lol.

They both got a great haul. Most people gave them fist fulls of candy and a few houses handed out full chocolate bars (they each got a full Kitkat, Aero, Rolo and Coffee Crisp). But their favourite by far was the house that gave out Playdough and HUGE lollipops. DD's had minnie mouse on it and DS's had Cars. Total hit!

I handed out our goodies when we got home from about 6:45 until 9pm and then finally called it quits. Only had about 45 kids but they all loved their huge chocolate bars (thanks dairymilk promo).

i came down with a cold yesterday,but luckily i caught it quick and feel better...went shopping at wally last night for last minute halloween stuff and low and behold,the xmas music...am i the only one in canada that gets intensely annoyed with the whole november 1st is xmas season thing...i overheard a lady at school yesterday saying she was gonna put up her tree this weekend. i actually get angry that people do not even wait until remembrance day or forget it altogether.the xmas season is long...i usually put up decor around first weekend of december,leave it up until first week of january..i dont know.maybe it's just me but this whole commercial one holiday to the next thing drives me up the wall...lol..anyways

Hm...pretty quiet here today...everyone okay?
We had our usual around 150kids last night, and this morning our DD phoned early...little grandson was ill in school, so she picked him up and we've been at their home with him all day...poor wee guy. He seems fine, but not interested in eating, so we're giving him juice, fruits, soup...we may be doing this again tomorrow. He's asleep on the sofa now, so this may do him a world of good....hope everyone's okay today! Another day in paradise: drizzly, cold....bleak....

I think Wally, like all other big box stores wants us to think CHRISTMAS as soon as Halloween is over, it angers me too. We have so much to be thankful for, and because the big box stores can't get an end of it, the choose to ignore it. If you're lucky, you may be able to find a table in the cold doorway before you enter the store staffed with Vets selling poppies....gee thanks Wally for giving them a nice warm place to sit after all they did for you and the rest of us!
