Sadly, I've done the exact same thing.
----
Today, I rolled up the car window and yelled "ow!" - I closed my hair in the window, just maybe two pieces, but I felt it.
Also today, I got into the car, closed the door and again caught my hair, this time in the door.
(I blame the wind...)

I once made veggie stock and put the colander in the sink so I could decant it and forgot to put the bowl underneath. DOH! I just had the left over useless veggies.
You are not alone :D

yeah, I do have long hair, but I feel like I've never had this problem before and then bam! twice today. But I am going to be way more aware and careful about it from now on.

also, when you spend ten minutes looking for your keys because you need to go to work on the weekend. Give up because you found your fiancé's car keys so you borrow them. Get to work and realize you have your fiancé's keys, not yours, so you can't get in the building...Last edited by alicia; Sun, Nov 4th, 2012 at 06:18 PM. Reason: eta

Pfft. I do crazy crap like this all the time...more so since I had kids...or at least, that's who we're gonna blame it on.
I am forever sticking things in the fridge that don't belong there. The peanut butter. The phone. The box of ice cream we opened for dessert. You name it, it goes in the fridge. When I get old and senile, the fridge will be my goldmine.
DH's favourite place is the roof of the car. There have been many cellphones, coffee mugs, folders of paper, and yes, even keys (!!) that have met their unfortunate end flying off the roof of the car and smashing on the pavement. A forgetful guy like him keeps several sets of keys because there is always a set that is perpetually missing in action. Twice in the past 10 years we've gotten sets of keys through the mail from the War Amps program that had been driven over by cars....after they'd flown off the roof of the car or the bumper of the truck or whereever else he happens to set them down.
Thanks for the giggle everyone. I love hearing how others are losing their minds along with me."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Oh wow ninna! I loved all your stuff in that post. Made me feel co-ordinated, efficient and sane...which I admit I really am not.
I do the head banging thing on the bottom the the fridge freezer door ( which I open first before going down to the lower part of the fridge ) then rise up and WHACK! Many choice words follow.
I grate parts of my fingernails when I am using the hand grater ( isn't that why it is called a hand grater? ) and if my nails are short oopsy! some skin goes missing!

^ oh. Taking the coffee into the shower isn't "normal'?
I take my coffee into the shower all the time. I find it speeds up the whole "morning time wake up" routine. By the time I'm done, I'm clean AND I'm caffeinated. It's a good deal. AND a time saver."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Lordy, what are you people going to do in YOUR 60s when this is just a normal day for us!? Oh the things that I do now....remembering yesterday is a stretch...names? Forget it. Even just having a simple conversation without going: ummmmmm...while trying to think of a word like "mall"...it makes for an exciting retirement!
