My DD is on a kick of saying "Bum Cakes". It's completely my fault though. I got frustrated at DH and made the mistake of saying "oh for F*** sakes". DD copied by saying "oh bum cakes" and I couldn't help but laugh. So, she's on a kick of saying it. I'm just hoping no one figures out where it came from.

DS has that problem - started talking at 2 - he used to have problems with "S" but now its only "L" so Lion is Wion... but ever since he started school last year, his pronunciation has improved and now he says L fine if its in the middle of a word, but not if it begins a word.

DD also started talking around 2, but not as many words as she should have. She's done almost 2 years of speech therapy and now she's at almost a 5 year old's level of understanding etc. She's around her actual age for speaking but she still has issues (mostly the pronouncing of words).
I'm hoping when she starts kindergarten in January it'll boost her up. She goes to preschool Tues & Thursdays so bumping up to everyday will hopefully help provide some incentive.

I did my Shutterfly order yesterday. Should be here by the 17th!
Even with 3 promo codes for "free" calendars from GTG, it still cost over $40 for 4 calendars. (1 x $22 and 4 x $5.99 S&H).
But I know the grandparents will love them! Can't wait for them to arrive!

I need to find a new food to serve at DD's party.
I made some of the "Pluto's Party Popcorn" last night to try the recipe and it's defininitely NOT kid friendly. Very sticky.

Not many 6 kids, 3 babies. All family (or extended family). We didn't invite any of the preschool kids because the ones she was close to moved on to Kindergarten this past September. And since she's leaving the centre next month it seemed weird to invite the "new" kids.
One of her best friends that moved on apparently goes to our Church though. She goes to the 9am mass while DH usually brings the kids to the 10:30 mass. We were up early so DH took them early this week and she had a ball with her friend so we're going to start going to the 9am mass now. I'm also going to talk to the other girls mother and invite her to the party and maybe set up playdates for them.

where did ya'll go??..sure when i need your help you'all disappear.. tsk tsk.. so if I EVER suggest having another bazaar and doing all the work myself. someone PLEASE bump this thread/post and kick me in the butt.. omg 4 hours later im finally done all my reindeer and spoons. i guarantee i'll never do that again alone.. co-ordinating keeping the chocolate filled enough to melt. the water level up, not burning myself on the spewing steam, picking up a spoon thats been sitting on top of that hot steam OUCH, cutting up mini marshmallows into tiny bits for eyes waiting til they harden to roll them up in time for them to be stiff and assembling all of my sticks in the marshmallow dipping it in the chocolate laying it perfectly on the broken pretzels (i did myself to make antlers) then putting red noses on (m&m's ) and waiting just long enough til the chocolate starts to harden to put the marshmallow eyes on.. omg.. Y did i do this.. now i have to wrap them all with pretty ribbon, make snowman ornaments. that should be easy.. haha.. the finish the hair clips. another easy job. i hope. phew.. im almost there.. when im done i promise to post pics of it all.
