yay after doing a bunch of baking and getting ready for round two of baking i opened prezzie #1.. how appropriate.. two awesome sets of cupcake liners and pics.. im JUST about to do my cupcakes yeehaw.. now instead of plain white.. im doing them in xmas themed ones. YAY! thanks so much for the best idea first prezzie MeShell.!
now can't wait for tomorrow

I opened day 1 earlier, but was waiting to post until I finished my "chores"!

I received some awesome Christmas stickers! Thanks a bunch buddy!!!!!!!! I will post photos later - I need to start baking! Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies for a cookie exchange at work and Cheese Dog cookies for the fur kids from Santa Paws!

Our oldest came home today and we got our tree up and decorated right on schedule...
The two younger kids are still under the weather, so we had to skip out on the Christmas Party at the school today, but...
They were very excited to get to open a gift! They each got an advent calendar
Perfect, as they have been begging me to buy them one! Justin says, "Thank you, person I don't even know that sent us presents!"
I love the idea of this train...
We always make sure each of our children get to donate something to the local snowsuit drive and toy drive, and I work with a staff member at the school to oraganize a Christmas Hamper for 24 families (one from each classroom) and our family helps to deliver them...
While I think it is very important to help in the community (I volunteer 50 - 80 hours a month) and it is good to teach the children "It is better to give than to receive", it is very exciting for them to get something back this year!
They have their tree all set up and decorated in their bedroom, with their presents all wrapped up underneath. Whenever anyone comes in our house, Emma has to take them up to her bedroom to show them her tree and all of the presents. "The Princess ones are for me, and the Cars ones are Justin's, and Mickey Mouse is for both of us!"

BTW: The wrapping paper for today couldn't have been more perfect; Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas is the Christmas movie on today!

Day 1 - we got advent calendars for the whole family! a homemade christmas cd that includes I WANT A HIPPOPOTAMUS FOR CHRISTMAS!! Already listened to it several times, hubby doesnt seem to be a fan of the song maybe but the time christmas rolls around he will change his mind! Also a santa hat for DD - she loves it! And a christmas card will tons of AMAZING coupons! Thanks so much CLB!

So the tree is up and only 2 tantrums involved! I have way too many straw snowflakes i felt i was putting them on forever! So hubby is also sick and the obvious thing for him to do last night was to stay up until 3:15am!!! My kitchen looks like my cupboards exploded and the rest of the apartment looks like multiple bombs went off, my parents are coming in 2.5 hours to babysit DD (hubby christmas party tonight) and hubby is sleeping! im not impressed...(ok end of rant)

Here are my candy cane sleighs! the front ones are unfinished as I plan on making my cranberry clusters and putting them into little bags then onto the sleighs to look like santa's sack!
