Oh, Holly...poor wee Maggie..what next?!! Has she been on antibiotics since her last vet visit? Oh, I just can't stand it that she's sick, poor wee trooper. Please take her in and let us know what the verdict is....I'm so worried now.....

The more I think about this job, the more I'm unsure about it. I have to go into retail stores that are a competition to a certain company and record pricing information. Obviously the retail store will not like you doing that and worried if I get caught, I'll be banned.

Curt I think that is a legitimate job, I often see people in grocery stores checking competitors prices.I think they are all aware of this and they all do it. I would give it a shot!

I don't question if it's legit or not. They've been around for over 25 years. I just don't want to get kicked out of a store. Either way, if I get hired, I will be giving it a shot.

Wow, I've missed a lot of weeks. So much has happened with you all. Me, not so much as I haven't lost any weight, but I haven't gained either. Gotta get back on here and absorb all your motivating comments. Why does life get so busy that you're too tired to get on the computer or exercise?

Curt, I did that very thing when I was younger, and it's just fine. Each store does that to the other, no worries...it's the only way they can determie their competitiveness. It felt very weird the first couple of times, but after that I just strutted in, did my job and left. And actually many staff members would joke around with me...just smiling...it was actually quite fun! No boss looking over my shoulder! Lol! I wish you luck, Hon!

Welcome back to our little corner of the world, FM! Remaining stable can be just as good as losing! Ask me, I know! When I haven't stuck to my new way of eating I'm so relieved to see the scale not more, or only move up a wee bit.
I hope we can motivate you and you're right: we can get too tired to get on here or exercise (I never do that).
But having to report has kept me honest with some failures (+10lbs over the Christmas holidays!), and some successes....like we've said: it's a war, not a skirmish, so it's the final battle that decides it all, not all the little ones in between. Just keep winning more than losing and you're ahead of the game!!

ps...I just had 2 glasses of wine (not teensy glasses, I'm proud to say, Holly and Walks!), which are allowed on my diet, so I'm still behaving! Hah!

Well, our poor Maggie is still at the vet, I had to leave her there Yes, she has been on antibiotic since her first visit to the vets to clear up all the spider bites she had. They are all clear except one. I was so scared yesterday, she was soooo sick She was given iv antibiotics and fluids, it seems the bite and neurotoxins were that of a scorpion. That's why I don't let my dogs out at night because that's when the scorpions come out. I had a feeling she was kept outside in a cage and I was probably right. Anyways, that nasty stuff has now infected other parts of her tiny body. The vet explained it like us getting pneumonia, regular antibiotics wont cure it, you need the super antibiotics. So, she was getting several does of the super stuff. The vet said that she is otherwise healthy and we've looked after her very well, so she shouldn't have any long term effects but couldn't guarantee it I'll be going over there later today and I have my fingers crossed that I can bring her home and give her liquid antibiotic or pills, but it all depends on how she did last night. Poor wee thing, she really has been tugging at my heart strings

DH got some whole wheat pizza dough from the bakery next to his physio place and they don't put eggs in it so I used it last night to make 2 really huge veggie pizzas with tomato sauce pepper, onions, mushrooms, broccolli and olives on it.

Oh, Holly....what a wretched beginning wee Maggie has had!! Oh, I hope you can bring her home so that she can be comforted by you and your hubby...and of course Marley. How awful. I'm just sick with worry for her...Please let us know how she's doing....this is so sad.....

Sorry I have been MIA from this thread for so long....I have let stress and life get the best of me and my eating habits!! The fridge is restocked with healthy food and am beginning again good news is I did not gain any weight back but did not loose any more...

Holly I hope your little one is doing better....I had to hug my Ginger a little closer this morning as I read about her
