I feel like crap with a really bad headache so don't feel like cooking. I might go to the Chinese buffet which is only 1/2 a block away but even though it's so close not sure I want to walk there either.

This is so amazing good and very very easy.

Take bite size stew beef (raw) and put them in a tupperware dish that has a cover.(or I guess a ziplock bag will work too)
To that add enough flour (3-4 tbsp), steak spice, salt, pepper, tyme. Cover and shake it all up to completly cover all the meat. If you notice it isn`t all covered, just add a bit more flour and reshake.
Put it in a dish (I have a cast iron dutch oven) that has a bit of butter in it ontop of stove.
Brown the meat for about 5 min. You will see all the bits on the bottom. To that add a couple dash of worshester sauce and about 2 cups beef broth. Put the cover on it and pop it in the 325 oven for about 2 hours.
When it is pretty much done stir fry some green & red peppers & onions and add it to the meat.
    OMG sooo good.

i went to the butcher yesterday so i had to take care of the meat today which meant divvying up some of it and tossing it in the freezer.

then i made a bunch of meatballs. some to use in spaghetti sauce tomorrow, and some for the freezer. can't wait for tomorrow's dinner.

tonight will be chicken legs baked in the oven. they are marinating in a dry chicken rub that was mixed with a bit of oil and some yogurt. along with that will be PC's vegetable lasagna. it's pretty good, and it was on sale this week

Haddock dipped in egg, then coated with panko bread crumbs mixed with Parmesan, salt and pepper and lightly sprayed with olive oil and baked. DS loves salmon, thought we'd try this, he loved it too.

Pink pancakes! Regular pancakes with just a little bit of wilton food coloring gel added. I can't even count the number of pancakes I did not eat because they were boring and non-fun-colored as a child.

Even if the pancakes were green, my DS would eat them. He has no problem with the pancake-coloured ones.

Chicken salad sandwich (Mom made the filling) on multigrain bread. Made an apple/pear crisp later and cinnamon is a charm in that warm dessert.

Skimmed through Jamie Oliver's Food Escapes cookbook (from library) and saw some recipes I want to try this year. Like savoury chestnut crepes, zucchini gratin (finally a bulk use of zucchini other than saute!), and gorgeous rosemary prune skewers (yes, must plant rosemary to use stems as skewers!!). Though I dislike goat's cheese-maybe it will be ok after a turn on the BBQ on the skewer.

Am I a DK for ordering from the children's menu when I go to restaurants sometimes?

Sometimes adults meals are just to much for me to eat. I get funny smiles most times, sometimes evil eye or shock face.
