Yup take off battery and put them both in rice (not instant) has saved our phones a few times

There are a few water proof cases out on the market....worth the cost.
I dropped my iPhone in the bath yesterday and it was fine.

I dropped my iPhone in the bath yesterday and it was fine.

My phone is 6-7 years old so no cases available for it. It's the flip style phone.

I have an IPod with an otter box (best investment!!!) so I don't need an IPhone. I rarely use my cell. It's just for emergencies or if I'm out and the preschool or school needs to contact me. I maybe use 15 minutes a month max. DH and I have a joint plan so he uses pretty much all the minutes (I think we have 3-4 hours combined).

We looked into upgrading but they don't have the same type plan anymore.

The min. iPhone plan is like $50 a month for each of us. Combined we pay $70 for both phones and DH has the fav 5. They said we'd jump to about $140 for similar plan/features on iPhones (with no sharing minutes).

I'm way toooo cheap! lol

That's so sweet coyote00. I'm sooooo happy to be back. Now I just have to work on getting out of jail here and all will be good . So, what's new????? For me, it seems like my dd has kept everyone abreast of my disappearing act once again, but like I say, it's hard to keep a good woman down

It seems like a few people got new jobs, CONGRATS TO YOU LADIES and I hope everything works out fabulous for you! I haven't had much chance to go back and read through all the posts yet, but I slowly will catch up on the goings on.
