I do not think I could do glamping. My kids would destroy the place in under five minutes and camping for me is about campfires and roughing it.

Hope everyone has a good day. Kids are all on field trips today so I am going to clean, or say I will and go do something I want to do when I get bored and say screw it.

    Have a great day everyone!
Love like crazy everyday and smile.

I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

Lynn, yes I have an oven, actually I have 2 because the microwave is also a convection oven. BUT . . . you have to remember that we did live in it about 6 months out of the year, so, having amenities like a washer and dryer were important to me. AND, we by no means started out with this type of trailer! I'd be lost if I couldn't bake my bread and goodies for everyone....that's my story and I'm stickin to it

Good morning everyone. I trust you are all as well rested as I am not sure what happened, but after I got home yesterday, I visited with friends for about 2 hours, then l laid down for a nap .......woke up at 7:30, had a bite to eat and then went back to bed. I had an amazing sleep last night and feel so refreshed today. Nat, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. I just hate the way cancer invades our families lives and destroy's things. I'm going to pray for him, and your family members.

Lynn, not sure if you have ever heard about a camping club called Passport America. We have belonged for over 7 years now. You get 50% off your campsite fee's. They have lots of campgrounds that belong to the club, both in Canada and the USA We save our membership fee in just 5 or 6 nights of camping. It's so worth it, especially if you are at a campground and get full services p/w/s Here is the website. You need to check the campground for the eligibility, as some don't allow discounts during long weekends, or during certain months, but there are so many campgrounds, with more joining all the time that it's well worth the fee. https://passportamerica.com/ Also, the site gives you free trip routing with turn by turn directions, a great overview of all the campgrounds and lots of other perks. And, it's not really all that expensive. I think our latest membership was renewed for 5 years at a cost of around $120. After you become a member, they send you offers when it's near your time to renew. A lot of the campgrounds can also be found in the Woodall's Campground Directory book as well.

I'm glad you are resting as directed!

About the cousin I mentioned yesterday, I'm sure all the stress he's been under as chairman of the Senate internal economy committee has really not been good for him on top of everything else he's been going through. My niece saw him and his wife here in church last week, so he's been well enough to travel from Ottawa.

Found out as well, that another cousin passed away in ON two weeks ago - from cancer, don't know what kind. She was 62.

Nat, sorry about your other cousin. Sheets, one of my dd's is a HCA and is working her way through to an LPN is school currently. She loves the field. I remember when she first started, she had only 1 client that was hers and did a lot of fill in. Within 2 months, she was turning down shifts, she was working over 60 hours a week and was loving every minute of her job. The only thing I hated is that she would get so close and attached to her clients, and when the inevitable came, she would cry for days. It was and is still so very hard, and sad to watch her go through that. But, she says there is not another job in the entire world that is as rewarding and gives her as much of a sense of being needed as being an HCA. Once she is done her LPN courses, she still wants to work in the exact same field. She just wants to be even more involved in the decision making of her clients. Congrats to you, your amazing and have a huge heart.

I sure admire people who work in the medical field and related disciplines - it's not something I could have ever done. Two of my sisters are nurses - one retired now, she was a surgical recovery and general surgery nurse. The one next oldest to me is in ICU, and it amazes me that she can do what she does. Funnily enough, she could never imagine being able to be an elementary teacher as I was!

Well, a bright part to my day. Our local radio station just interviewed my cousin the senator, and he sounds really good - it was just nice to hear him talk longer than the 15 second sound bite on tv news.

I don't know if any of you are in the same situation with cousins - we have tons of them, most are way older than me since my mom was one of the youngest in her family, and I'm one of the youngest kids in our family. We pretty much only see one another at family weddings and prayers/funerals... everyone is busy with their own lives and are so spread apart these days...
