so excited for you coupon girl too.. new babies are so .. *sigh*.. miss that age..

Jas.. I know exactly what you mean about the dad driving thing.. add to that double footing it. both feet on gas/brake. OI!

planning on heading to WM today.. bought a kettle yesterday it was on sale for $9.88.. well holy crap that thing has more instructions to use it then a 747!!..
im taking it back.. maybe can get my son to fix my kettle .. the cord at the base has come untwisted and exposing the inside wire.. i love my kettle.. but worried about that problem.

then going to use that money to buy my son/myself some bulk glue sticks and more cottonelle. thinking i'll add them to my gift baskets.

dinner is already taken care of Lo's from yesterday.. maybe bake up the homemade chicken fingers i made a few weeks ago.. and some of the pepper mixture i made to as a stirfry..
its rainy here, good day to catch up on loose ends.

hope everyone is enjoying their weekends. can't believe next weekend is thanksgiving.

We all weren't feeling very good yesterday, so we stayed home. I did make a quick run over to NF to pick up some deals. Actually got a cart with a loonie already in it. Nice little surprise.

This morning we had toasted tomato and bacon sandwiches. We have lots of ripening tomatoes to eat from the garden harvest still. I am going to turn about 18 into regular tomato sauce later today...by hand. I already have a gallon pail full in the freezer. My dad would like me to bring some up for him when we see him for Thanks Giving. I already washed up the morning dishes and have a load of laundry in the washing machine.

LO slept threw the night until 5:00am, at which point he decided that he was up for the day. I switched off the dh at 6:30am so that I could get some more rest. Dh brought LO to bed with us at about 8:00am, LO nursed and went back to sleep, so we all slept until 9:30ish. It is tiring, but I am still glad to have gotten about 6hrs sleep in a row last night. LO never has slept as much as babies and toddlers typically do.

I'm struggling with what to do for Alexa. What does a 1 yr old really need? I had a vendor table at a mom to mon show yesterday for my Epicure. I walked around before the doors opened and git her a pair of robeeze and a pair of pink converse for $4 each, a xylaphone and a guirare for $5 combined, and a pair of fairy wings and tutu for $10 for her smash the cake photo shoot. My mom was with me and had no idea what the sale was all about. She was giving me crap for spending money, and then started to realize I'd just bought her bday gift for $5. Then my mom started shopping....it went downhill drom there lol

I caved and gave the toys to Alexa when I gor home cause my dh wanted to see (we're kinda a musical fam). She fell asleep hugging the xylophone lol. I figure though, she doesn't know about bdays or xmas yet! It's so weird.
At such a young age you don't have to go crazy with the presents they don't even care and are so overwhelmed with the whole day itself, visitors and the difference in schedule, something to consider, don't worry you may get off cheap now but it will catch up in about 5 more years. Enjoy the cheap christmas while you can.

We had friends over for dinner last night. Spent yesterday doing laundry - washing folding drying, vacuuming the living room kitchen bedroom, cleaning the bathroom and dusting. BF took extra hours at work as its a greened out weekend so for the next two weekends he gets paid time and a half for he first 4 hours of his shift and double time for the next 4.5 hours of the shifts on saturdays and sundays.

I bought snacks yesterday - breifly considered the 40 pk of mini chocolate bars for 14.99 and opted for a 20 pack with 3 dollars of coupons for 6.89 (even with out the coupons inside as an added bonus if i wanted 40 the 20packs ended up cheaper!)

Today we dug the carrots, onions and cleared off the deck so when it snows (*ick*) its easier to shovel. i also cleared out my plant pots, rearranged a couple things in the shed as some stuff left and my bf is winterizing the camper.

For my goals progress so far

    - Started my knitted wrap and a scarf
    - Put my entire GST refund into savings
    - I've used 40 dollars in giftcards for amazon - applied to the preorder of gifts and ordered another 10 dollars of cards this weekend. - 15 remaning to earn and order.
-Paid the 75 on capital one
-I've gotten one more gift completed

Same thing! Only ours is $3 a week. Although I know the odds are totally against me, I'd be so upset if everyone won and I missed out.

The reason I am struggling a bit more this year than last is my kids range in age between 1 and 12. The 1yr old will only play with whatever I get him for like 5minutes, so I think I'll spend way less on him (just to keep up the Santa ruse) and the 12yr old just wants a new tennis racquet. But I'll have a hard time just getting the 12yr old just 1 gift.

We just picked up a few things at CO-OP.
I was pretty happy with it...but had to get rain cheques for their $1.99 eggs (have coupons for them too) and $7.99 Shreddies jumbo box (have coupon for this too).
Still was able to pick up
Cheese Whiz for $3.99 ($4 off coupon from CO-OP phone app)
3/$6 Ritz Crackers (LO loves these)
    98c Dole Pineapple - 50c wub2 coupons (great price)

I just wanted to add that we took LO out to the park this afternoon. I always feel like we don't do this often enough. We stopped to fuel up my truck. 119.9/L...down from a few weeks ago 124.9

What is the price of fuel where you live?
