here is something that you gals/guys can giggle over, I bought a humungous turkey ( Utility) at such as great price ( maybe 88 or 89 cents a lb??) Anyways, in my excitement about doing a traditional Thanksgiving dinner again ( we've opted out for a few ) I grabbed the biggest one, NOT thinking about the size of my roast pan.

I had a lightbulb moment, grabbed him from the freezer to see, and once he thaws I'd be squishing him into it, meaning all his sides limbs would stick to the pan.
I was not sure I could return the bird, so late Sunday afternoon I had DH scrambling around Homesense with me and we spent $24.00 on a new rectangular roast pan complete with sturdy lifter insert!! So much for the cheaper bird, oh btw it is 30 pounds! lol

Shopping in the grocery store, I keep getting stopped by random people who ask me where an item is. I don't work in the store. I don't have a uniform on.

Last Thursday, in one aisle, just me and another lady. She looked angry. She turned her cart around, came right up to me and said, "I'm so frustrated. I am making a pie and I can't find cream of tartar. The people working in this store are no help at all. Can you help me?" Ya right! I know where cream of tartar is.

But wait.
I did know where she could get cream of tartar.

We were steps away from a Bulk Barn. Told her to go there and she would spend less by buying just the amount she needed. She was so happy and thanked me and zipped out the store.

Hmmm. Is there a sign on my forehead that says "Ask me, I probably know the answer"?!?

It's amazing eh? Perfect strangers can sense who to approach and who to stay away from. It's a mystery how all this works.

So the US government is shut down.
So people who wanted to get married at a US site, like the Grand Canyon, can't.

So here comes comedien Stephen Colbert to the rescue.
Not only does he run his own show, but, in his spare time, he became an ordained minister.

He make a bad situation into a good situation by marrying a couple on his show, who would not have been married because their plans were squashed by the government shut down.

Nice one Colbert!
