so much for the weekend plans, I have been asked to work 7:00 a.m- 11:00 a.m. Sunday, then start at 3:00 a.m. Monday....ugh Black Friday, and online Xmas shopping means plenty extra parcels will pass through my scanner, oh well, diet is on hold till further notice, I will need sleep mainly. Nicely done! I am struggling with the food of the season...already! Goal is to maintain over the next month and then start dropping again.

+ .5 I am starting to be a little suspicious of myfitnesspal's accuracy. It's kind of tough when every thing is homemade and even though sometimes I double their portions to try and get the proper calorie count something is not right. I think I will lower my intake by 100 and replace 1 meal with juice and see if that kickstarts it again.

I will be a " lurker " here till early January I am afraid. I am stressed beyond what I can handle at work right now ( STOP buying stuff online everyone ) ha ha just joking, but the parcels are overwhelming right now. I've be working extra hrs every weekday and on Sunday for a few hrs I scan the parcels in prep for the gals and guys delivering. ( so don't be shocked to see delivery on Sunday, no mail... just parcels ) After that I will be able to breathe again.

I was down last week but this week I've been sick all week. Doubt I'll see a loss. And with the holidays coming I think I'll be taking a mini break. lol

Why don't you celebrate Christmas? Do you celebrate something else instead? I ask not out of judgment, but for no other reason to know you better, Patty. People's beliefs intrigue me too, especially since I celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas and most people I know who do not celebrate Christ at this time of year still embrace "Santa's" Christmas.

Regardless, I could use some of your strength for resistance during the holiday season.

We're atheists but I do have a tree and decorations and lots of non-religious decorations and I have a Nutcracker collection. We buy gifts for Kevin and Kiera but that's all. I used to do turkey but not the last 3 years since we are vegan. I do all the trimmings though., potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce. Pretty much the same stuff but with no fats or added oils.

We will be letting the kids open their gifts on the 21st the first day they have off for the 2 week break.

Just cause we're atheists doesn't mean we can't enjoy all the beautiful things about the giving season.

eta - and yes I say Merry Christmas , because it IS Chritmas

Thanks for being open and sharing Patty. I thought I remembered you mentioning being an atheist, but you what they say about making assumptions...lol. Sounds like you have a wonderful celebration and set of traditions. A decorated tree is hard not to enjoy!

I am not doing much baking and still need strength. I had a student hand me a box of baked goods today. The good news is, I only ate two and the box is still almost full.

I've been trying to be motivated to work out, but it's been hard. Last week LO was teething again and not sleeping well at night, plus I worked 4 days (happy about that). This week LO has croup and I also caught a bug. On Wednesday I was told that my great aunt had died suddenly the night before (I knew her) and a different uncle had not woken up that morning.
