Sheesh, they weren't kidding about the wind warning!

I just got scared, thinking someone was trying to bash down the house, but it's just the wind with a huge gust. First time in this place with such winds, so I don't know the 'sounds', if you know what I mean.

The very tall cedars across the street are putting on quite the dance right now...

It's all howly and stuff... I hope my kitties will protect me!

Coffee shall be my best friends today. Worked from home from 6pm until 2am this morning...up for 6am and another full day today.

Good morning, everyone....Dan you sound like our DD...she picked up her new car yesterday afternoon and took her Mom for a drive, then faced a few hours of paperwork at home...'tis the season for her, with the madness that is RRSP season! She leased (business reasons) a new pewter coloured Honda Pilot Touring with all the bells and whistles....oh, it's lovely...sitting in the front seat, it feels like there's no windshield at all, it's so open and big! It would be too big for me to drive...I'll stick to my pretty Terrain...

Natalka, I bet that was frightening, first time in your home for something like that...hope it (and you) held together just fine..

Lynn, all was fine - but many things in the city and around got damaged; really, here it was just a matter of the 'new-to-me' sounds with the mega-high winds, etc. Kitties got spooked, too, at times.

Blizzard conditions over here; our highway is closed to the west and going east to the city most of it is zero visibility. I guess today will be a baking day. My step sister is coming in from Atlanta today and my guess is they will be delayed.

morning all.. a little bitter cool here.. but tolerable..a few things to do today.
Nat.. so glad your ok in your new home.. they always take a bit of adjusting.. new sounds. etc. by next winter you'll be quite comfy and used to it all.

morning Dan.. wow enjoy your coffee.. don't work too hard. seeing as your working from home.. may as well add a little 'flavor' to that coffee to get you through the day.

Hi All,
Busy day here.
Getting a new microwave, mine decided to stop working yesterday (shouldn't complain as I had it for over 10 years).
Then I realize that a microwave is an essential appliance in my home (never realize how much I use it, especially to reheat in, until I couldn't).
So had to get a new one, not complaining as it's more watts than the one I had before so reheating is much quicker, just need to learn the new temps/time.
