So true - if there ever is a time that I 'tell' or 'ask' him to go, it's a no...
I am glad he realized this was something that wouldn't pass without help.
He went to see his niece, who is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (yes, she's Ukrainian, from Serbia). She did a massage and acupuncture - can't believe she let him do the latter, but good for him! He said he felt somewhat better after, he's to go back in two days.

Oh, you and me, both! Someone on here said that according to the Farmer's Almanac, it's supposed to be a hot summer..yay! We can't wait to retrieve our travel trailers from storage and hit the road again for more summer camping with the kids and grandson (they have one, also): we've already booked 5 weekends together! Naturally hubby and I can stay during the week, too. As long as I don't have planning meetings for weddings. And ahhhhh, yes....that deck, the gazebo, the glass of wine that calls me each evening...little Jenny and I on our swing, hubby in his gravity chair thingy reading, with no wine...lol...usually a pop...and those loooong evening shadows, my favourite time of the evening just as the sun is setting. Afternoons at the kids' house, our grandson in the pool nearly all day (you really have to drag him out!)...more wine....yes, summers are magical.

I have one of those glittery snowmen plastered on our bathroom mirror that I put up before Christmas (I like to cheesy up the house for our grandson who thinks it's all quite marvelous) and hubby asked when I intended taking it down and I told him that'll be when I kick the last flakes of snow off the deck onto the grass to die in the sunshine! That's when I'll peel the snowman off! And it can't come soon enough!

Lol....well, like I said, there may have been "free love" among hippies in San Francisco or Woodstock, but not in the towns and cities in Canada! Lots of gals just got lucky and never got 'caught', but others just disappeared for a while...for all the songs about dancing in the streets and free love, there was still a very tight, moral compass that we all abided by as best we could. It was a time when anyone 'different' was kept at home, safe and away from public scutiny...it was, as they say, the best of times yet for others, the worst of times. I was one of the lucky ones (thanks to my Mom and Aunt, lol)....
I hope that you do one day contact that young man...he must have been so excited to learn he had 3 sisters!!

Good morning!
Forecast is for this bizarre freezing stupid weather to hang around quite a while yet. Not impressed.

Cold here, too. Staying in. The Combine is over....just a sad, bad day.....at least the sun had the good sense to show up. Have a reasonably fine day everyone...

Sometimes hypothetical questions fill in the missing link,
Especially when they are the ones that really make us think,
You know you can be overtired, but can you be under-tired as well?
& if you are disgruntled were you ever just gruntled for a spell?
You can peel a carrot or peel a potato, but you needn’t peel a grape.
& how come we have masking, scotch & duct, but we don’t have Irish tape?
Outside it can be overcast, but is under-cast a consideration?
A plaque of honour is gratitude, but dental plaque condemnation,
You can be a “Miss” & you can miss a point & even miss your bus,
& when things seem to be “amiss”, you’ll have issues to discuss,
You can take a coffee break & you can also brake to give right of way,
& you can also write a letter at any time of day,
Sometimes we need to roll, as life is just a role,
& you needn’t take a poll, if you’re dancing round a pole,
Since it is the end of the week, there are those just feeling weak,
Is it true that you can peek to reach your highest peak?
& do you feel up the creek when you hear your bones go creak?
As you know you say good-bye in the form of bidding farewell,
Is there a term like bad-bye, if your time was less than swell?
If you shed the light, are you no longer in the dark?
& how come a lot can be a fateful thing & also a place to park?
It may be a good time to close & go & fold some clothes,
& leave these matters to the pros & end this little prose.

It must be the cold vortex thingy...we're all so tired! I had just decided to snuggle down for a longer sleep when DD phoned; she always chats with me on her way driving to and from the other banks where she has client meetings and wouldn'tcha know it...and I should have remembered, Thursday mornings it's one of those. But it's SO worth getting up for to just be with her on the road!

Happy day, everyone!!

I think you might be on to something Lynn...
Must admit I'm feeling tired too.
