Turkey 1 is in the oven and almost done, I'll put in turkey 2 once that one is done. Turkey 2 should be quicker, I'm not stuffing that one.

Squash is in the crockpot, potatoes are cut and in water, I'm going to experiment here and do them partly in another crockpot. Hopefully that will not be a mistake! I'm using a variation of this: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Slow-Co...ts_p1i1&rank=1

I'll bake the sweet potatoes in my small countertop oven, put them in around noon or so.

Never really thought of the logistics of fitting 10 people in my dining room, but we'll manage! Happy Easter everyone!

Not to mention I am one of those simple girls, I do not want flowers or poetry I want a man who can put the potatoes on for dinner if I have to work late or will come home and see me peeling potatoes and offer to chop them up, oh for me it is all about the little things. Now if I could also find a man to carry the laundry downstairs for me I would be set.
I found this guy when I wasn't looking for him. but he buys me flowers too!

We had our big Easter meal at lunch after church, so we're just grabbing whatever we want for supper. I had some cabbage rolls, cucumber, and cantaloupe - oh, and a piece of paska.

^^^ mmmm...the Paella looks REALLY good!!
Yesterday was our big family Easter dinner, turkey with all the trimmings, everything was so good, lots of desserts and wine!!! Even managed to bring home some white meat for sandwiches!
It's beautiful here today...so bbq for sure....I'm going to grill some chops and to keep it simple , cook brown rice on the side burner and do a veggie pack on the grill, i.e. green beans & mushrooms.

We sent most of our turkey leftovers with guests, so enough for tonight and lunch tomorrow.

We were at Costco earlier and DS tried some rice with butter chicken sauce, and loved it. So I bought some and he's having leftover turkey with basmati rice with the sauce. He recently decided he likes onions too, so I cooked a few in with it. So far he's chowing down on it.

Dh and I will have turkey and veggies in a bit to use up the leftovers.

Ooh, that sounds good. What do you do for sauce for the pasta?

put a Prime Rib roast in late last night so we all sort of nibbled a bit, but it was actually meant for work dinners today and tomorrow. Cooking up more sides today ( cabbage, quinoa with sauteed green peppers, and a few boiled beets )

not feeling so chipper today... So, dh is making lasagna for the first time. I mixed up the ricotta-egg-spinach, there is a container of sauce, a mixture of mozzarella & a little bit of edam. All he has to do is layer it & bake it. I don't usually use the lasagna noodles that don't require boiling, but he is gonna give it a shot. He makes a pretty good salad too, so I am resting & he is at the helm of the kitchen. Cheers to you all!

I have some lean ground beef taken out so think I will grill some burgers; nothing fancy just a plain burger with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard & ketchup...
