Bacon wrapped chicken, dairy free scalloped potatos, sidekicks, peas(dd's birthday dinner request) and maybe a salad for me and dh. For dessert chocolate chip brownies with chocolate marshmallow frosting, first time making marshmallow frosting so I hope it turns out.

Chicken pieces baked in bbq sauce, baked rice - will add sauteed onions to it, and salad.

Oh I hate when that happens-we live int he middle of no where, it is 20 minutes to any place that sells propane so we have learned to keep an extra on the deck for run outs!
For mothers day I had a big family get together here at my place and made (amongst other things) Ukrainian 'patychky" or as we call them meat on a stick. Marinaded meat is skewered and coated with crumbs, pan fried to seal and then finished in a slow oven. I made so many that I have a freezer full so tonight I am taking the easy road and puling out some for dinner!

lazy cabbage rolls left over.....please forgive me Nat, i added half a can of lentils , crimini mushrooms and garlic to replace the meat ( to have some protein in the meal).....though DH said nothing replaces his mom cabbages rolls, we both find it delicious
Thank's to DH who told me the grumpy Garfield was not at all representative of who i am

Mia, that's the way I cook - start with a basic, then change things up - what you did sounds delicious!
alohamom - YUM on the pic, they look so good!
Tonight, some sort of pasta with sauce, with a can of tuna thrown in.
added - Used Sidekicks creamy garlic raffaello, cooked peas in with that, added 1/2 can of tuna. Cooked some GG carrots, broccoli and cauli bits separately, added in with everything.
Funny, it was the 25% less salt package - didn't taste right, so I had to add salt, and it was fine, lol!Last edited by Natalka; Fri, May 16th, 2014 at 07:45 PM.

A local store has lobster stuffed basa on a bogo deal, so we're having that with quinoa, sauteed mushrooms, and green beans.

I was trying to get DS and DH dinner ready for them to take to work this evening so this morning at 11:00 a.m. I placed 2 good sized blade steaks in my cast iron dutch oven after I had seared them first, tossed in 3 large onions cut chunky and covered the pot with the heavy lid, Set it in the oven at 265 degrees so it could give me time to shop on the way back from an early errand. Well didn't I totally forget I had put them in the oven!
Here I was doing my RCSS run and got lost in the magic that was my PCPlus adventure.
I was coming home at 1:30 p.m. when I suddenly remembered! I opened the front door and the smell was awesome! DH was in the kitchen and in a panic I said oh no, did you turn the oven off? Did anything burn? he said no they are perfect I had some for breakfast! lol He took chili for his dinner instead.

I made a homemade version of hamburger helper yesterday which I got out of the Mennonite cookbook. Easy, just brown the meat, add seasonings and chopped vegies, cover with cooked noodles and cheese, simmer for 15 minutes. It was good.
