My best deal was on Thursday for bacon at SDM. I had a mailed to me coupon for $2.50 off Schneiders bacon. It was on for $3.99, so I bought 3 for $1.49 each. Yay, cheap bacon. I use bacon to bribe dh into eating greens like kale and swiss chard Everything is better with bacon

While in line, I was staring at the Lindt Excellence display, where the bars were on sale 2/$5. Then I noticed that one of my favorite flavours had $1 off Manager's coupons cause of short expiry date, so got 2/$3.

I was lucky to get the bacon deal cause Thursday was last day of sale and I didn't know about it, but read a post by Anna Michele in an SDM thread about it. I love finding out about deals here.
    Yay fordeal sharing!!!!!

Not a deal in the true sense of the word, but I put aside money for my DD's birthday trip to the zoo next week, and today I went into the envelope to get the money out and see how much I needed; turns out I put away $300 instead of $200. No extra money needs to come out of this month's budget to cover any emergencies. Plus I purchased the tickets online- while that cost me $4.50 extra in 'fees', I also received a 10% off coupon valid towards gift shop purposes. Since my gift shop budgeted amount is over $45, purchasing the tickets online saves me money over purchasing them at the gate.

I used the $2 Drano coupon at Safeway since it's on sale there and the coupon expires today. Safeway has several varieties that were lower in price than anywhere else around here. While there I picked up some of those Oreo birthday cake ice cream coupons; gees those things are too delicious. The taste transported back in time to how birthday cake tasted when I was a kid.

Went to superstore to buy a hose as ours had sprung a leak. Also was looking to pick up a couple of rain barrels that I noticed on Monday were on sale for $57 from $80. Planned to pay with points. Got to check out hose was on sale for $6.99 then cashier said everything is 50% off sale prices! Woo hoo! So everything came to $57 - $50 in points so $7. Yahoo! Closing time so will go back tomorrow and see what else we can find.

I had a personal SDM Optimum points offer for 6,000 points WUB $20.00 worth of candy and snacks.

The large size Hershey Chocolate Bars, in a variety of flavours, are on sale for 3/$5.00. You get 800 Optimum points for every 2 you buy.

    So . . .

    I bought 12 Hershey Bars for a total of $20.00 (4 sets of 3/$5.00).

I received 4,800 Optimum points for the Hershey Bars (6 sets of 800 points WUB2)
    PLUS
    6,000
Optimum points for spending $20.00 on candy/snacks
for a total of 10,800 Optimum points.

    Spent $20.00 plus tax
Earned 10,800 points which, on a bonus redemption day, are worth just over $20.00

Most of the bars will be chopped/grated to be used for baking.
