    Hello folks!
It's been a very quiet Canada Day. I am not able to ride in our car at the moment because my back has been acting up so no shopping and no Canada Day adventures.
But we have an adventure to deal with tomorrow. We'll have to take our one dog to the vet as I have discovered when taking him for a walk that he has. ..... YUCK.....worms! He is a major "muncher" when I walk him and since we have moved out near the country, there are many things that he gets into before I can stop him.
I finally got our new internet connected today, so hopefully it will be more reliable.
If anyone acts as a poll clerk, etc. You can apply for the Oct. Municipal elections already.
Hope everyone's Canada Day was enjoyable!

He really didn't take care of the room and even after doing numerous tanks of cleaning solution there are some stains that simply won't come out. One stain I know is from him spilling an entire Tim's coffee and neglecting to clean it up. *sigh* This person was previously dh's friend, but that is a whole other story. After spending time in the room it is now obvious that I will need to wash the walls and door in that room tomorrow. *sigh* I am already sore from the work that I have accomplished over the last 4ish hours.
I feel your pain! We have been scrubbing the new house. My family felt so bad about the condition it was left in they hired us a cleaner. She has done 9 hours and there is still lots to do!

I finally decided to advertise daily rates for my daycare since I have been having little luck with weekly and monthly rates. Our daycare lady texted me last night to ask if I would be interested in having her neighbour's 2yr old and 4yr old for two days next week. I told her yes, and to pass along my info. I am also tutoring some students over the summer, their parents are paying me an hourly wage.

spending today painting my daughters room(once my coffee kicks in) and washing my sons lacrosse gear(which could probably crawl to the washer on its own at this point ). Great day of lacrosse, visiting my MIL and eating() yesterday. Went to the waterfront which was conveniently next to the waterfront and watched fireworks. The weather man got it wrong too. It was an absolutely beautiful day! Glad to read you all had a lovely Canada Day.

what a morning.. my son started summer school. went on a little 'adventure' last night. we ended up staying up til 2 waiting for his return. what a dude.
i was up early to send him off. then back to bed. just got up. after a marathon on painting/cleaning all weekend. really could have used the sleep.
a friend came by last night and spend 2 hours with me organizing my craft area. what a difference.
then we sat at the 'fire' pit and had smores and talked. good end to the weekend.

heading to dollarama to get more tulle to finish a project. also going to try one more tip for another one as the first didn't work out so well

anyway hope everyone is enjoying their Wednesday. dh and i met 25 years ago today. did i just say that out loud. holy crow.

I just spent the last 2hr weeding the garden. I discovered that the cutworms are much worse than I had thought. I know that the growing season has been very poor so far this year, but my garden is absolutely pathetic. I plan on re-planting peas, and zucchini, etc. in the next couple of days. The ground is much too wet to do anything other than pull weeds, I barely used my hand shovel. Any suggestions regarding the cutworms? I already squish any that I can find. The cats took turns hanging out in the back yard on a leash. I took the opportunity to comb both of them. I am already in pain and it isn't even lunch time yet. I'm going to take a T3 with my lunch.

The carpet in the spare bedroom isn't dry enough yet for me to vacuum and put things back. The items from that room are occupying the living room, which is where I usually move kitchen furniture to when I wash the floor. Oh well, I'll just have to do my best.

No garden advice from me sorry, my tomatoes and zucchini and red onions are doing well this year in my makeshift gardens! We are getting the perfect amount of rain and sunshine here in Ontario so far.

I'm working on filing and getting back to doing our taxes which got lost in the shuffle of hospitals and moving. Yikes, everything just got stuffed in boxes. So now, lots of 're-organizing.
    Yawn!
Oh, and luckily, the meds that my dog has just started will take care of the "worms" issue, according to vet's office.

I cleaned out, organized, and washed the shelves at the back door. I vacuumed the spare bedroom, LO's room, the hallway, and living room. I washed the walls in the spare bedroom, this is when I discovered that the roof had leaked into the corner of that bedroom...from the damage from last summer's storm that insurance still hasn't repaired yet. Not impressed, but I really don't think that the insurance will pay for these repairs based on the way this claim has been going so far. Washed LO's clothes and they are currently in the dryer. I have the toddler bed and my home made bookshelf back in the spare bedroom. I put some colouring books, cardboard books, and a few toys on the shelves. I kept other toys and craft supplies in a box that I will bring out as needed, not age appropriate for the LO's.

I had a dad call me this afternoon. He got my number from my poster at the mall. His wife is currently driving their 6yr old daughter out to Bienfait (11km) for childcare every day. He was excited, but hadn't spoken to his wife yet. I also have the interview with the mother of the 2yr old girl after supper tonight. Here's hoping it all goes well.

Now I need to move everything out of the kitchen and scrub the floor in there.
