Afternoon all. Hope everyone has had a great week. The weekend is going to bring us rain, and probably a good thing cause things around here are looking a bit parched. I bought a tablet the other day and have been frustrating myself trying to figure out how to use it....why do I do these things to myself at my age!!!
Nat, I'm sorry to read of your MIL.
Lynn, congrats on the steps, don't push it girlie, we don't want you going backwards....that is unless it's backing up to grab another bottle of the red stuff, LOLWe all need a little sunshine every now and then

Hi Holly, glad things are going well. I got a tablet at Christmas, and I still don't understand it all - one thing I did realize is that it's easier to go on SC just regular instead of using tapatalk.
No other news of MIL.

Hi! Well, a simple trip to a one-hour physio, turned into a 3 hour wait in emerg! My physiotherapist gave me a little scare, and thought I might have a blood-clot behind my knee because of the pain I was having there, in a position where clots do tend to hang out, so she suggested we get an ultrasound. Long story short (strange for me), it was negative! Whew! Honestly, the thought of injecting myself with Lovenox again just about made me ill! So...yay!!
I hope everyone else had a day of pleasant surprises or just a day on the way to a wonderful weekend. Nat, I hope you receive only good news about your MIL.
Holly: white wine. Sigh...the lady is a tramp.
Happy weekend, everyone!!!

I know its weird but I filmed it tonight and cookies tasted fine lol. I'm not doing anything really really stupid like some people on youtube. There have been people trying 20 year old cereal and 40 year old canned bacon.

Good morning everyone!
I just woke from a dream where I was walking down that hospital hallway to physio, unassisted!
It felt so good....it'll be great when I can one day do that in real life....almost 3 months into this...time flies when we're having fun! Hah!
Have a restful Sunday...do something that makes you happy today...!

Good morning!
Wowsers, woke up at 3 to it raining, raining and more raining - thunder far away. Ah, nice!
Wish it would have come on the 40 humidex days, but better now than never!

Good morning, everyone.

So happy that we finally have sunshine (I'm sick of the rain and cold gloomy weather). But...it's still COLD! I should not need a sweater in August (ok, end of whining
).

The weather is a few miles away from being ideal,
& it sure is lacking in what they call curb appeal,
No skinny dipping tonight,
Cause the mosquitoes will bite,
& I really don't know what's the deal?

OMG lynn, I'm so thankful that it wasn't a blood clot or anything else serious. Nat, I never thought I'd say this, but you can send a little rain this way. Was out walking the dogs today and realized how dry the grass was at the park when it crunched under my feet. Normally this little park, that I walk through with Marley and now with big T, is well manicured (it's in the middle of an over 50's mobile home park), but it's all turning brown and it's really dry.
I love the heat and hot weather but when the trees start producing more cones than usual, I know they're dry.We all need a little sunshine every now and then

I went to the farmers market this morning with dh. I needed to buy some potatoes last week and ended up picking up 4 single potatoes when I went to Walmart because every bag had either rotten, or soft potatoes in them. I smell the bag, yes, people look at me strange, but if you've ever had potatoes start to go bad on you, then you know that "SMELL" If I even get a hint of that odor I won't buy them, and I didn't. At the farmers market today, they had really nice bags of BC new potatoes, 10Lbs per bag for $7 At WM they wanted 6.49 for a 10 Lb. bag of crappy, small, moldy, stinky ones. I also bought a couple beautiful heirloom tomatoes for a nice Greek salad tonight.
So how was everyone's weekend? We all need a little sunshine every now and then
