lizzie, so very sad about the loss in your family; I know how difficult it was for my brother and his wife when they had a stillborn many years ago.

thriftygranny - hoping all is going to be okay with your husband.

You two, and you all, are in my prayers and thoughts.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday. Had a busy hockey day. And DS is officially on the REP team so the busyness begins! Tidied up once home today. 2 loads of laundry done just have to put away. Dinner was BLSL chicken vpbreast on the BBQ with baked potatoe and a garden salad. Tomorrow hope to get some things done and some fun time too.

Had a very frugal Friday dinner three of us went meatless. We need to do this more as I live with meatatarions seriously that’s what the oldest calls himself.
I did amazing this week for lunch coffee out while working. Took my coffee every day and only bought lunch today. This is a huge step for me.
We do have a planned dinner on Saturday as we go out to celebrate the three bdays .
Luv: I had a similar experience this week as my oldest started high school. He demonstrated a level of independence and dare I say enthusiasm like never before.
well done lilo on all fronts! My guys are meat eaters too which is not always great for the pocket book or health wise either!!!

On a sadder note, my nieces wife(you read that right) will be induced today to deliver a 25 week stillborn baby girl-very sad for them and my brother and his wife who were planning to welcome a third granddaughter in Dec.
so sorry to hear about your nieces loss, may they find strength from each other, sending prayers

It has been very difficult for him as he is so active and it is very time consuming for me as he needs assistance with everything. Of course I worked a 40 plus work week so had to enlist friends and family to help him out.He needs a wheel chair for school because the chance of him getting bumped and loosing his balance is too high.
I received a phone call from my husband who was fishing in Prince Rupert that he was in the hospital with his heart in A fib while I was right in the middle of catering a dinner for 60 people, yup that was a little stressful to say the least. He is on his way home as we speak, they stabilized him and monitored him for 3 days and put him on blood thinners and medication to regulate his heart beat and felt he was safe to travel home. Prince Rupert has a very small hospital and felt he was safe to get home and to emergency here. I will be picking him up in Edmonton this afternoon and right to the hospital.I had been at work since 8 am and was leaving at midnight and backed in to a coworkers car, (a combintaion of stress and fatigue). I decided to just pay for it rather than have my rates go up, first accident that I have caused, so I am 1500.00 poorer just for their vehicle and haven't even dealt with mine.Has to get better soon doesn't' it?
oh thriftygranny....when it rains it pours.

Hope your son takes care and listens to the doctors orders, the wheelchair is a wonderful idea and a cautious 1.

So sorry to hear about your hubby, glad that he is well enough to come home.

Very kind of you to pay for the expenses for the car you hit as parking lot accidents are 50/50 but you have a good conscious and are doing the right thing, not many people who pay the costs when they don't have to.

Wishing you and your family well wishes & great health

    Hiya All,

Spent the day with my folks again as my mom was taking Logan out to a movie and dad was going to drive her. By the time they got here Jaden decided he wanted to go too . My dad wanted me to go to keep him company as he didn't want to watch a movie and didn't want to spend 2 hours by himself with nothing to do. So dad and I went to Superstore then FB, got a few things that I needed and spent the rest of my 2 week grocery budget. My parents treated me to groceries at Costco on Thursday so that helped a lot and well we're good for a while. The kids both agreed to East Side Mario's for a late lunch, my parents treated everyone. Got home and my dad fell asleep on my couch , dh made a fire in the firepit where my mom, me & dh chatted for several hours then dad joined us when he woke up.

I have a lady coming tomorrow am to try on a pair of cowboy boots I have for sale. Then dh & I will have our date/shopping spree at the re-use in centre in the afternoon, it's a nice outing and only costs us the gas to drive there.

    Wishing everyone a wonderful night.

PS I still have not started my lazy susan challenge but really need to start that.

J&C: I can't wait to see what you get at the reuse.
I had a great target shop today, I went into troll for clearance, the Campbell's minestrone that the oldest loves was on clearance for 1.24 a can with and expiry of march 2016. Bought 15, then found instant oatmeal on for 52 cents a box, good unti May 2015. I bought 10 boxes, I leave them at work for breakfast. They will last me the winter so I was pretty stoked as I need easy and portable. then I found the rice krispies square on for 2.00 each and with the gas promo. It's a checkout 51 offer so I bought 4 split into two purchases and after CO51 and the 5.00 MC it was 1.00 for 4 boxes. Annoying I have to use a stamp for this promo to the savings are not as awesome.
