Thinking about you hopefully enjoying a restful weekend. Hugs to your dh, too. It's hard on the caregiver seeing a loved one needing help. All the best!

The weekend seems to come and go, and hardly seems restful, when I have so much to do that I can't get done Mon-Fri. But it is nice being home. Even if I am rushing around. And I'm glad I have the energy to do so.
Yesterdays hair washing was a bit traumatizing lol but what's a girl to do. I might be looking for a hairstyle like your daughters Holly! My head is REALLY tender now, but I was told friday that happens right before the hair follicles are about to fall out. Interesting.
I also didn't meet with my Radiation Oncologist because he wasn't there, so I had a resident. I never have a problem with residents (Hamilton is a teaching city) but they can't make big decisions which sucks. lol Regarding the CO, she actually said she'd never heard of of being prescribed in place of chemotherapy before, actually, she'd never heard of it being prescribed at Juravinski at all, however, I can speak to my Oncologist to see if he will prescribe it for me or refer me to a Dr that will. I see him next friday.

Was thinking of you all weekend hun, hope it was restful for you. Don't worry about your hair, it will grow back quickly as soon as treatments are complete, and Ashley's hair style is quiet cute
We all need a little sunshine every now and then

Thank you Skippy, and Ladies. My energy level (knock wood) is pretty good, which is keeping me in good spirits. I received my brainstorm newsletter this past week (from the brain tumour foundation) and it was regarding brain radiation, well it actually said that keeping active can keep the fatigue associated with radiation at bay. So I'm hoping that's what my daily walks are doing! It's beautiful, walking past the church, the leaves are already half fallen on many of the trees and just crunching under my feet as I walk. I love it! It's such an encouragement to get out and walk.
I also received a wonderful card today from SmartCanucks, thank you all! I love it! It's sitting with my many other cards that I have received from you wonderful people! I seriously don't know how some of you hunted me down to like my room # here. Good job. lol But I appreciate every last card I have received, it really lifts my spirits when I look out my window at the beautiful view I have of Hamilton, and I see all of the cards staring back at me from the wonderful people here that have taken the time to send me one, to let me know they are thinking of me.

So it's night-time again...honestly, it seems we're busier than before we retired!
Tara, I'm so happy that those cards put a smile on your face and I hope you know that each one is a big, big hug for you!
Good stuff on the exercising! Exercise is good for both physical well being, as well for stress relief.
As I understand it.
Although I personally don't engage in it myself.
Sweet dreams, Dear Heart......blessings always, every day...!

The only exercise I can do for past 10 months is walking, I have tried to walk every day, it feels so good to get out and get some fresh air. Try to walk as and when you can. My feet got neuropathic damage ....swollen and felt like I am walking on glass shards. Now they are almost normal in size, still feels like I am walking on rocks and pebbles, but I walk every day.
BTW, tonight's moon is a beautiful Super Moon

....YOU, IThinkICan, are the ONLY person who can relate to that "walking on rocks and pebbles" (with the one golf ball under my heel!..!!! I describe it to people and obviously no one understands the feeling, I mean, who could, really, unless they've experienced it themselves! I still can't walk on the floor barefooted because of how yucky it feels, so I wear my mary-jane sketchers around the house just to help hide that feeling! Oh, my gosh....finally someone who understands that feeling!!!
As for walking, I always used to pooh-pooh it, thinking oh, sure...find for my legs, maybe, but when we went on our Mediterranean cruise 4 years ago and had all those walking excursions up hill and down in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Egypt, I had that OMG!....realization when I put my jeans on for the first time since we landed in Rome a few weeks before, and I couldn't keep them UP!! I had to borrow one of my hubby's belts that would never have fit me before!
So believe it...walking is just as important a tool for losing weight than spending a fortune going to a gym if one's intention is to lose weight! I also think toning can be accomplished at home, too...but WHAT an eye-opener!!!
GOOD MORNING, TARA!!!
Off to physio this morning, but I had to drop in to say I'm thinking of you this morning!
Luv and huggles, Hon....

Awww!! Lynn, sad to hear that you are in the same shoes
. I can not stand being bare foot except while showering
, its better than a few months ago, and I am used to it, but I would love for the feeling to go away ....also, my feet rather than my hands.
Have a good day Tara
