I'm tired reading your to do list. I'm going to keep it simple tonight. Have to pop out for a hockey meeting but before that I hope to put way clean laundry (2 bins folded and ready to put away) At 7 put load in washer in dryer. Post new items for sale. Have to get back at this.

    Thank you.
Np I'll set a place for you , I grew up with a Mom who always thought that you should cooked more, just in case the neighbor drop by at supper time.
I picked up a couple bags from the SS for $7.98 per bag on the weekend, we love it, can't eat it as much anymore (too expensive) but when I see a good sale I try to get some.

Yes I saw the Red Lobster ad, and DD wants to go for her Bday (we'll see) it cost a lot especially when your taking the whole family, much cheaper when I buy it and make it .
Add me on as being a BIG shrimp lover! Husband is too, but because of the sheer volume he eats, he's very expensive to feed.

The comment about your mom feeding anyone - reminds me of what my husband told me yesterday.
His mom, in Yugoslavia, had gotten quite ill about a month ago. No diagnosis, but by everything told to us, it really sounds like she had a stroke, she's 89. She's back to mostly being herself now, just so everyone knows, but she was bedridden and lost her memory.

Anyway, our parish priest and his wife just got back from a trip there - they are also close friends of ours, and grew up in a place not far from my husband's hometown. They went to visit my MIL twice while they were there.

The priest said when he first went he asked my MIL if she knew who he was, and her response was "No, but you are welcome here..." - aw, that just melted my heart! Even with memory gone, her true nature shone through. The woman who raised 11 kids always had her door open to anyone - and it's just the way things are done there with hospitality.

    ----

I'm having such a mixed-up day. I couldn't get to sleep last night, finally just gave up trying and made coffee at 1 a.m. and started my day. I did try later and slept a few hours. Now I'll just have to wait and see when I crash - but I'm rather foggy...

Hope everyone has a great day!

I didn't sleep well last night either. I'm guessing it will be an early night for me tonight too.

Nat. I know they are from another time....
When everyone looked after one another....
Mothers were mother to all the children not just there own...
Neighbors were neighbors...you would never be short a cup of sugar, or milk or an egg...
If some one had a need the community/church tried to fill it...
Everyone was welcome to just drop by...you didn't need an invite (it was just a different time).
    Now time has change....

Natalka so great that your priest and his wife were welcomed with open arms, what a sweet heart and lovely lady your MIL sounds like, even though not feeling 100% she truly does still have great value & morals, bless her.

DH is gone to get ds1 from football then we will eat supper and then dh is off to the cottage with FIL to get his items that he needs for hunting (can you say procrastination)....

Logan came in the house and said I'm having a piece of everything - made that cinnamon cake and also apple crisp pie, he decided he needed to be the 1st to test the take and well rave reviews are in from my sweet toothed son, he keeps going on and on about the cake so it must be yummy. It looks just like the picture so need to buy batteries for my digital camera otherwise I would be posting a picture.

laundry is folded and put away now to relax and until the guys arrive and have a licky-split dinner.

Haven't tackled my closet so time will tell it might just wait until tomorrow....I will be all by myself like a big girl tomorrow...yippee....love my husband but do need some alone time.

Wishing everyone a wonderful supper and evening.

I am a lasy bum tonight. Hockey meeting was longer then I expected. Gave cheque for tournament fees. Glad it's all paid up and I don't have to worry about it. Should put laundry in dryer but I don't feel like it lol

You may have noticed I haven`t been around lately. I`ve been laid up with a sore back again. It`s slowly improving but I still can`t drive because of the meds i`m on. My sister took me to Millbank this morning...could hardly get in the car. I think things are finally starting to slow down a bit...there won`t be as many buses as in the summer.

tomorrow ds1 goes on to have his updated hearing test. as well as stitches removed from his biopsied area, still don't know the results. hoping to find out tomorrow. fingers crossed. (history of cancer in family)
once we get that done, we can fast forward what were doing with his future.
