Most interesting is that there are no comments on the bottom of the CBC stories - I went to look.
Nothing on Jian's twitter or FB accounts - just the last posting about the death of his dad.

Unless he had some sort of binding morals clause in his contract which was very specific, he could very well win a suit. - if, as he said, no complaints were made.

I am not a lawyer, but the Facebook page seemed to have been written from the heart. Not much legalese in there so I assumed it was not given lawyers' blessings.

All is very fresh right now so I do not know whether to say "yay" or "nay" to his Facebook page post.

Lol, I had the same reaction when DH shared the story. His name sounded familiar but that was about it.

He was in Moxy Früvous back in the day (he's a drummer) - they did songs of satire.

I've listened to him since he started his show ( I listen to the 10 p.m show on radio) - he's really smart, a gentle soul, generous of spirit, and is very liked by all who he's interviewed as well (well, except Billy Bob Thornton who was an arse).
I love his interview style - and especially the way he does his opening essays - especially more with sensitive and emotional topics.

I didn't know he was gay til quite recently, and of course that didn't even matter a whit - so I don't care about the BDSM.

I have not followed his show or him, but I do know his name. The only interview I ever heard was the Billy Bob one. ( when the sh*t hit the fan ) What I took away from that was Billy Bob had specifically asked prior to them speaking on air that he would only answer questions regarding the band he was in currently, ( so NO questions or comments about Billy Bob the actor would be tolerated ) Of course Jian's first questions were about his acting career....lol. That was apparently why Billy snapped.

Either he is lousy at picking trustworthy (as in, we are gonna do some heavier stuff, can we fully trust each other to be adults about it, and do I trust you in general to respect me as a person?) partners when engaging in intense sexual relationships or something was not 100% consentual.
