Tonight we are going to our friend's birthday BBQ. Not sure exactly what is on the menu. Home made burgers, hotdogs, salads, chips.

Chicken Stew is simmering covered in the oven. I guess you could say low & slow. I just have to get myself another slow cooker.
My dh will want dumplings with that.

Another B-day party this evening. This is for Grandson #2; he will be 6 years old. Having hot dogs on the bbq, potato salad, macaroni salad and vegies and dip. Plus a yummy b-day cake! We bought him a heavy duty hockey bag on roller. He is 6 years old and he played AAA hockey last season and he is already registered for AAA this season. I didnt know they start in tripple letters this Young.

The Mandarin Buffet Dinner, I'm not sure what will have but I'm sure it will be good.

It's another hot one today so I'll be using the BBQ. I roasted some whole garlic cloves and vine ripe tomatoes earlier so I'll be making a margarita pizza with fresh mozzarella and fresh basil on naan bread. I'll be serving a variety of veggies and dip to go with it and an ice cold beer (or 2 ) to wash it all down.

I love making pizza with naan bread! The taste is fantastic!

We bought a few packages of Gnocchi when they were on sale so decided to use one of those last night but I did not want it with tomato sauce like we normally have since I have spaghetti and meatballs the night before. So instead I made Gnocchi Poutine using a homemade mushroom gravy. I will definitely make it again.

So far tonight is mystery.

Mom is making grilled chicken kebabs, rice salad with cauliflower,cashew and mango, garlic bread and strawberry ice cream.

Last night's birthday BBQ food options: steak, home made hamburgers, hotdogs, salmon fillets cooked on a cedar plank, shrimp and veggie kabobs, baby octopus kabobs, deep fried french fries, home made braided French bread, hotdog and burger buns, lettuce, tomato slices, onion, cooked sliced mushrooms, home made potato salad with bacon in it, fruit salad (watermelon with blueberries), angel food cake, cool whip, and blueberries. Also cans of pop and iced tea were available as drinks.
